Good morning! I tiptoed around in the dark getting ready this morning because my brother in law was crashed on our couch. Our house is so small that turning any lights on would have likely woken him up. He's very laid back and I'm sure he wouldn't have been too annoyed but I still wanted to be courteous. Anyway, I'm wearing blue pants with my burgundy and black top at work and I'm trying to pull it off with a Devil-may-care fashion attitude :P My mom is driving in this afternoon to join us kids and we're heading to Lincoln, NE to see Metallica! My friends are laughing that my MOM is coming with us but I keep reminding them that Metallica is not a NEW band, my mom is young, and I was raised knowing the lyrics to the Ride the Lightning album. I will say though that getting up at 5 AM and coming to work will be rough later on--is it lame if I hope they're done rocking by 10:30-11? I just can't hang lol
qotd: coffee (caffeinated first cup, then switch to decaf), water, hot tea (evenings), and if I add some kind of water additive, my go-to is blackberry lemonade, which I've only found in Great Value (Walmart) store brand.
breakfast: coffee with SF pumpkin Spice creamer
lunch: last of the leftover BBq--I have 2 ribs and a sliver of brisket and a couple bites of chicken. Unfortunately, I didn't weigh it today on account of my sneaking around in the dark. I'd say it's about 4 oz of meat?
dinner: we plan on finding somewhere to eat in Lincoln, so as of now I have no idea, but I'll choose protein forward

Good morning everyone, this week has had me very inconsistent with reading and posting and I have missed the discipline it gives me!
accountability - 4 days of hitting protein targets without supplementing with protein shakes and day 5 of not preparing anything myself so having to estimate everything in my food tracker. I've been protein forward and low carb but I guess the scale on Monday will tell the true story!
qotd - I've alwaya been a tea drinker but now it's like I'm trying to drink all the hot tea, it's all mine, lol!
menu - I'll do an egg and a sausage at the hotel buffet
lunch - I am going to stop and get some L&F greek for today and tomorrow - yay!
dinner - no idea, meeting some friends I haven't seen in forever for dinner so if we go to the italian place, I'll have cheese and a salad; if we go somewhere else, I'll have something burger-ish no buns!

morning friends...
Last night I was having some pretty awful gastrointestinal discomfort...some sharp pain in what felt like maybe my remnant stomach? I have no idea where everything is now that my guts have been rearranged...I just know it felt similar to when I've had a stomach bug in the past--not the nausea just the pain. then lots of gas bubbles rumbling around and I felt super bloated. I took some mylanta gas relief and MOM because I felt a bit backed up too...I fell asleep still having some pain but woke up this morning feeling normal again.
I was getting concerned because I know the Medrol dosepak I've been on for my back could cause problems (namely ulcers) but I didn't think just taking it for 6 days would make it happen that quickly...also I have been taking my PPI with it...anyway, it was too late to call the surgeon's office last night but now I feel better. if the pain comes back today I will call for sure.
QOTD: my coffee is my one guilty pleasure, I feel like it's my daily treat that I still allow myself to have...I can't drink it black so I always have some kind of sugar free creamer or mix it with my Premier protein.
As for regular beverages, I drink a lot of water with sf flavoring- my fav is also the GV blackberry lemonade and I also really like their Morning Burst flavor- tastes like sunny delight or tang or something. so good!
B: coffee w/half caramel PP, 1/2C cottage cheese & small nectarine
L: 3 oz turkey lunch meat & light string cheese
D: I think I will make shrimp & Cauliflower rice tonight.
