Morning pouch peeps!! So it's apparently an American and Canadian holiday so it may be quiet today. I'm actually going into work for a project- hoping I can be out by 1pm.

So I registered for the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon in Walt Disney World in February. I'm excited about it!! I wrote out my own training plan too. All of my exercise endeavors have been put together on my own, I'm pretty proud of what I've accomplished without a using a trainer.

qotd: tell us your fondest childhood memory.

Me: having a lot of siblings we got ourselves into decent amount of trouble. One day we got the mail to find a sample package of chocolate chip cookies, but being a sample pack it wasn't enough for us to all have some. We got the bright idea to walk the block and take the samples from our neighbors mailboxes. (Sure that was probably a federal offense...). It was going well til my sister was caught by an elderly neighbor. She was quick in her wits and told her she was getting her mail for her. The neighbors rewarded her with the sample of cookies, lol. We a abandoned our thievery after that- but it's one of our favorite stories.

No weight yet- not up. 3.4 years out

m1: egg, turkey sausage links

m2: yogurt, oatmeal bake

m3: bbq chicken/kabobs (leftovers)

Morning friends.... Had fun at the races last night. Today hubby is going to help my dad on a project so I am going to work on some work brought home. Other than that it is supposed to be hot so we are going to just chill maybe binge watch a show...

QOTD: I think one of my fondest memories was when I was about 10 or 11 years old my dad had blown a motor in his race car and was short handed with help so he pretty much said I was helping him. I spent a whole Friday night tearing a part and putting a motor back together. I not only learned something but I got to spend time with my dad and to this day he still tells everyone all about how I change a motor of a car. It was a great time and lots of fun...

Food for the day:

B: coffee egg and sausage

L: cheeseburger

D: chicken on the grill

Have a nice day everyone.

Mornin'!

We're picking up a friend in a couple of hours and driving to another town about 30 minutes from here to have lunch with another (mutual) friend. After that....??? It's supposed to rain yet again today, so something indoors. What I REALLY need to do is make some decisions on these home improvements we're having done (screen porch and kitchen counters/sink/faucet).

great news on the 1/2 marathon registration, Peach!! I am impressed!!!

QOTD: boy - it's hard to pick any one thing. When I was 13, I took Amtrak...by myself...from Cleveland to Denver to visit my aunt for a month (can you imagine sending a 13-year-old alone on a trip like that nowadays?). My grandmother met me at Union Station in Chicago - where I had to change trains - to make sure I got on the right one to Denver. That whole trip was great - not just going out there, but the whole month. My aunt & uncle were wonderful hosts - I saw *a lot* of the state!

3 years 3 months out today!

B: homemade Greek yogurt, homemade blueberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake

L: we're going to this bar & grill for lunch. Chili if they have it. If not, they have a grilled chicken sandwich. I'll have that without the bun.

D: TJ's chili lime grilled chicken strips and corn on the cob

Garden produce galore is a repeat menu--tomatoes and corn with grilled meat. QOTD: I, too, think how different today's world is for children. Swimming would top my favorite; we would spend countless hours jumping off the pontoon in the middle of the lake without a single parent checking on us all day long.

Morning! I was hoping for a lazy day today after a busy weekend with family, but we noticed our kitchen sink had a leak and DH thought it be a simple fix to replace one gasket, but now it's turned into a frustrating project. In the meantime I have dishes piled up, and I'll have to wash all the pots and pans from under the sink (not my preferred place to store them at all, but we have very little space). So if he gets the sink fixed I'll have to do a lot of dishes. And currently all the dishes are piled on my washer, for lack of anywhere else to stack them, and I also need to wash laundry. Ugh!

but until that's fixed I guess I'll read. We also wanted to go thrifting (Labor Day sales!) but might not now with all this.

Qotd: probably just my brother and I riding our bikes all over town for hours and hours, exploring places and playing in parks. We "discovered" the Pit--a big hole where people would dump lawn stuff like grass clippings and tree limbs. We hunted for mushrooms there, they grew like crazy amongst the composting lawn clippings.

breakfast: prob just coffee

lunch: leftover BBq

dinner: I'll cook meatballs in homemade marinara sauce with mozzarella cheese IF the kitchen is operational, otherwise we might order in. I don't want to make more dishes. If we order in It will likely be Chinese, and the place we order from is good about subbing steamed veggies for rice.

It's never an easy fix, my kitchen faucet is down to a trickle. I have a friend that was supposed to help me replace it but we couldn't get the old one off and it was getting too late last night. Today I'm canning tomatoes from the garden, I swear it took about 20 minutes to fill the canner...ugh!

We discovered this leak after I'd emptied my canner...and essentially the whole pot of water ended up inside the cupboard under the sink! After much swearing in my husband's part and half a dozen trips to the hardware store, we got it fixed, kitchen cleaned up, and laundry going. Ugh. So much for a relaxing Labor Day!

Good Morning Peach and Menu Family!

QOTD: My fondest memory is when I was 11 my mom was expecting a baby and I was SO excited about the new baby coming. My grandmother taught me to knit and I knit a green (since we didn't know the gender) baby blanket for the baby. I worked really hard on that blanket and knit a lot of love into it, but it ended up having holes due to dropped stitches, uneven edges and the yarn was scratchy. Then my mom had a baby shower and I remember standing there looking at all the soft, cushy blankets she got and thinking how the baby would never like my blanket. Well, it turns out my baby brother ended up choosing MY blanket as his security blanket! He must've realized how much love was knit into it.

Good morning~ I'm off today - yay! I had my consult with my surgeon on Friday about my skin hoping to be covered for a panni. He isn't sure my insurance will cover it (I don't have enough hanging skin, but it is irritated so that may work), but even if they do he is leaving the practice anyway and I wouldn't be able to get on his schedule. The other 2 surgeons at the center don't do pannis, the new person might in the new year, but they don't know for sure. All these 'if' factors' - this not knowing kills me. And, sticker shock from the PS consult for the surgery I REALLY want - arms. We are trying to buy a house and Rob needs some pricy dental work... SO I am putting all of this on the back burner. I'm sad and disappointed, but it's the right thing to do. The good news is that I am going to rejoin the gym today. I have to accept that my body will be this way for a now, but I can make it better. I am also figuring out how to get over my swimsuit issue and think I have a plan to get back in the water at least 1 day a week. Not so scary anymore. So today is the gym sign up, shopping for work out clothes/swimsuit and making my workout plan!

QOTD - childhood memories - I can't think of a favorite right now-but they all involve feeling free and laughter.

Accountability - I didn't eat my planned menu - I ate yogurt x3 with granola (taking a break from granola now!) and a ton of pork rinds which are all the trash now covered in dish soap.

21 mo post op - 158.7

b- coffee x3, scrambled eggs w/cheese

l-turkey and cheese

d-swordfish

es- popsicles

v/l on track

e- not today

Have a great day!
