Small pouch day never comes my way.
Thank you for the wake up. I have no intention of gaining my weight back so I'm definitely going to start weighing my meat for every single meal again as I did in the beginning. Just wishing my pouch could do it for me. Haha

Hi Conazza, At our local WLS support group, there is a 10-year attendee that speaks of his still-strong restriction. I sit there feeling rooked listening to him. For example, he says he misses chugging water in the summertime. I went home, filled a large glass of water, and chugged away without even a hint of problem. My small pouch days do exist on occasion and I am fortunate to feel ill after too much sugar. However, I thought the tool of WLS would force my compliance more than it does. Another support group attendee spoke softly when she found the bravery to divulge the restriction she was counting on is similar to how you describe. I offer no help, Conazza other than to to sing praise to you for "working the tool" absent of restriction and still have the ability to control things 90% of the time.
I'm going to try and offer a little different perspective on this one. When I used words like "full" and "stuffed" now, I may be using the same words I did pre-op but I am describing a very different feeling. For example, pre-op when I said I was stuffed, I felt...well literally stuffed lol it was a dense, complete, bulging feeling in my mid and lower torso. Now when I say I'm stuffed, I'm describing the sharp, painful, stuck feeling in my chest right between my boobs. Same with full. When I say I am "full" now, I would have described that exact same feeling pre-op as being hungry!
The reason I bring this up is because we only know what we've experienced, so I wonder, do you think maybe you do feel just as full as anyone else at the 3-4oz and are just struggling to mentally connect that feeling to the word full?
I don't know, I maybe completely off track, but it might be an interesting perspective to explore?
Either way, you've done an amazing job and it is so great that you are aware of these issues and working to overcome them. I am defiantly going to try and imitate that mindset once I reach maintenance!
