What's on your Photo Friday Menu RNY'ers?
I was supposed to be a boy too and named Richard!
HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.
have you had a DEXA scan lately? We are the same height. I had one 1-1.5 years ago when I was at the same weight I am now (146), and my body fat was 22%. The technician, as well as my PCP, said that was fine, but not to go much lower - that was already pretty lean. I did eventually get down to 138, but I didn't look very good at that weight. My PCP suggested I keep my weight in the 140-155 range (our normal BMI range goes up to 154), esp now that I'm getting older.
According to that scan, my muscle alone weighs 117 (my MIL, who is also our height, weighs 113 - so my muscles weigh more than her!). Anyway, if you're getting more muscular, this heavier weight might be healthier for you. But I do relate to what you're talking about. I'd LOVE to see the 130s again on my scale, but I don't think it's gonna happen...I'd have to REALLY cut back to get there, and that's probably not sustainable....or necessarily healthy for me, either.
last dexa in may will do another in dec or late nov.
really focusing on eating properly and working out/getting strong.
first dexa last dec was in 'ideal' range, second was 28% BF in may - so basically i did an unintentional bulk, then been trying to reduce that since may. still losing inches so it is working scale just not moving.
It is really hard when you have an ideal weight or "look" or size in your mind of what you SHOULD be. It is so hard after being SMO for so long that balance is hard.
I would love to weigh less (110-115). I've been hovering around 120 since my PS and every morning I struggle with the desire to do something drastic to make the number go down. That said since I've been working with my trainer, I see more muscle definition and am getting stronger. I really believe that I need to keep refocusing on my health and strength rather than not getting into a size 2 pair of jeans!
Hang in there and know that you are not alone in your struggle to feel your best in your body!

Good morning Menu pals! Peach, what a score on the shoes ? great deal. I treated myself to a new pair of brooks this week...but did not find them for $8, lol.
this week - OMG - so glad I just have to get through this day. I have some doubts about my possibility of success, lol! I have to work, dentist appt, Pilates class and acupuncture, plus I have to do laundry and pack for a 7 am flight tomorrow.
QOTD - I'm the oldest, technically of 7 - 1 half sister (mom), 1 half brother (dad), 2 step sisters (adopted dad married to my mom's ex best friend) and 2 step brothers (adopted dad). I'm very close with my half sister and brother, close with my two step sisters but my two step brothers don't talk to the family, ever. Shame for them.
accountability - I had an extra yogurt yesterday, I had a up at 3 am and went to bed at 1 am day effectively and I was hungry when I got home. At least it was a light and fit not a kit mat, right?
B - Premiere + coffee
s - light and fit greek
l - volpi
d - light and fit and volpi
570 cal, 77 protein, 25 carbs
my photo is this week?s #coffeecuptruestory - It took me far too long to remember that in AZ in the winter the default is iced coffee and you have to ask for hot. Coffee default should be hot, lol
hope everyone?s Friday flies by!!
edited to add QOTD

Friday is here and I'm packing for our trip today. So nice to have the heat and humidity low enough finally to turn off the AC and open the doors. My pics are from the wedding last weekend (DH, DD and me, plus shark wedding cake which someone was interested in seeing previously).
QOTD: I had two brothers. The older one died when he was 17 in a car accident (I was 14). I have a brother who is 4.5 years younger who lives in San Jose California. We had a somewhat non-existent relationship for a while due to some stuff that happened with my mother, but we get along well now. I really like his girlfriend (who he met after almost 25 years of a terrible marriage). He is a happier person now and easy to get along with. When DS was working in Napa, my brother helped get him settled and they became close - DS would stay with him on his days off.
Accountability: Not bad yesterday but I'm still paying for the carbs from my anniversary dinner on Wednesday.
2 Years, 5 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 21 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Leftover halibut
S: cottage cheese and/or ostrich meat stick
