What's on your Photo Friday Menu RNY'ers?
OMG everyone, today has been nuts at work. I have no idea what is going on but i feel like I am drowning!
TGIF for sure!!! I NEED this long weekend to recover.
I just realized it was 2:30 and I haven't even checked in yet! I dont have time to read everyone's posts right now but will go back later.
I saw my spine doc today and he is ordering physical therapy and a medrol dose pak. I called my surgeon's office to make sure it was OK and the PA said they don't usually recommend taking steroids but said as long as its just this short term dose and if I take a PPI with it and make sure i take it with food, it should be OK but to call them if I have any stomach pain at all. if this doesn't work, next step is steroid injections.
at this point I don't even care, I just want something to make my back and butt stop hurting! it's AWFUL.

Hi everyone, happy Friday!
Nice sneaks, Peach! Excellent snag pricewise, too!
I have a date this Saturday, the first one in a few years. I'm not too nervous, I just hope to have a nice time, and probably will. I don't have thrillingly high expectations, I'm just hoping to have a nice time.
I've lost 10 pounds since 7/31, pretty good for my 14th month out! Today I'm down a pound again - I'm just .8 lbs. over the next lower 10-pound range, which will be exciting to enter!
Last night I attended a local meeting of some people doing keto. It sounds ok but there was a strong True-Believer vibe, kinda cult-like, but I understand that people get excited about these things. The "fat bombs" they eat sounded awful to me, but after reading some recipes, I concluded that they are probably pretty tasty. Not sure how compatible keto is with the post-WLS body, though - it advocates eating a ton of fat, which I understand the point of, I'm just not sure if our systems and especially our gall bladders would take kindly to it all. I'll read more about it, though.
QOTD: I am the oldest. I have one younger brother who is 3.75 years younger than I am. We had another brother who was born between us, but who was too premature for 1950s neonatal medicine to save.
First: tea - it helps me to start off the day with 38 ounces!
B: ham with Chipotle gouda melted on top
L: chicken
D: pork roast
Snack: a tuna packet
Have a wonderful day. Be kind to yourselves, and to others!
