Hi there!

I just had my Sleeve revised to a Bypass. I know I won't lose as much weight as I did the first time. I am just not sure if the weight loss will be just as rapid and not as much.

Anyone have any insight into this?

I revised from VSG to RNY due to severe GERD. I had about 12 lbs I wanted to lose. My surgeon told me it would likely be much slower than with my first surgery. It was definitely slower. Took me about 5 months to lose the 12 lbs.

i am also a sleeve (2011) to rny revision scheduled for oct 1 due to GERD. i would like to lose 25 lbs too though but scared from what i have read slow loss. i would love to buddy up with you if you would like - so we could support each other. this month have started all the right things again food wise and am actually feeling restriction. i have always exercised, gave up alcohol, ate close to my meal plan, simple carbs slipped in a lot more over the last2 years.

last night i had to really walk it off from dinner and it was my normal portion. protein first def tells you that your sleeve is working. my fear is that i dont want to lose what i have restriction wise. what if the pouch to stoma isnt as effective as what i have experienced especially just recently. giving up the simple carbos and protein (dense dense) really works and stays with you longer.
