What's on your Thursday Menu?
It is a hot one in the Northeast again today!
QOTD: We were in a staff meeting discussing the power of Yet and how we can get children to persevere and work hard to reach their goals. What is your Yet? What is something you want to improve on? Change about yourself or your situation? Going into this school year my Yet is being better prepared... at school and at home. I need to find the balance and plan better. It will be a challenge and I am so thankful for a supportive husband that is so willing to help me.
B: PP chocolate shake
S: Baby Bel cheese and grapes
L: 1/2 of a low carb wrap with turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion
S: Protein water
D: Not sure because it is 'Meet the Teacher' night at school this evening
Have a great day everyone!
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Yep, it certainly is hot and humid here today! The temperature is supposed to go down a bit in the next few days but still very steamy. I'd love to do a hike this long weekend but not sure whether I want to brave it yet. Probably some pool time instead!
Yesterday after work I did 30 minutes of cardio kickboxing tapes and then worked out with weights with my trainer (cyber session). My little gym doesn't have AC (or heat) and it was about 87 in the room even with the fans on. I was dripping sweat all over the mats and chugging water and then PowerAde Zero. Great workout though! Today maybe I'll grab my swim bag and do some laps after work to cool down and relax my mind.
Accountability: I did pretty good yesterday. After my hot hard workout I wasn't really hungry for dinner. I had a protein shake and about 2 oz of leftover steak and a popsicle and let that be enough.
Menu:
B1: deli ham, Isopure C&C protein shake w/ iced coffee
B2: 2 bites of ham, scrambled egg
S: chomps
L: ?, chickpea-kale salad
S: Buddig's turkey packet, apple
D: Peruvian roasted chicken breast
Exercise: some pool time!

Good morning happy Friday Eve!! I woke up this morning thinking it was supposed to be less humid... Nope but it is raining so maybe that will help I just hope when I leave the office this afternoon it does not make it sticky....
QOTD: I think my Yet would to feel more organized. I know I am but I have a lot of balls in the air both at work and at home and I feel like I do a lot of things but not do any of them well. So I think my Yet would be to pick one thing and do it well....
Food for the day:
B: coffee, peperoni stick and cheese
L; deli meat and salad
D: meat sauce w/ zucchini noodles.
Enjoy the day all....
It has been incredibly warm in the Northeast, no complaints here, busy weekend ahead as Ryley will turn 18 and we are taking him to Montreal to walk the Old port , go to late lunch and then to an MLS soccer game, Montreal plays the NY Red Bulls, he is anxious to legally have a beer in Canada. LOL
QOTD - My YET is to become the compliant WLS patient I was in the first two years of my journey. My menu during the day is always spot on and I do not stray or snack. I seem to add a handful here and there in the evening and recently I have had skinny popcorn ( a measured portion) late in the evening when I should not be eating.
B- scrambled eggs
S - Oikos triple zero
L - leftover meatloaf - last day..yay
S - Cheese stick
D - Homemade veal parmagiana with zoodles

Happy birthday to Ryley! Have fun celebrating!
As for heat, since I've lost weight, I usually don't mind the heat itself. It is the additional humidity over 80% that we have here that gets me!

the drinking age here (at least in many states) was 18 several years ago even in the US. I remember buying my first six-pack of beer on my 18th birthday, and the guy didn't even card me! Boo! I also remember working for a college housing dept a few years after that - they had (legal) keg parties in the floor lounges and at student dances back then. I can't even fathom that now!
THANK YOU all for the Anniversay wishes. I love my OH family! We had a great evening:
It is hot here again too, but it is difficult to determine if it will be a beach day or a rainy one. Maybe we will go for a while, then I'll start packing this afternoon?
QOTD: I guess my Yet is the same as Mike's. To stay on my daily plans more. I used to allow some deviation one or two days a week, but now it is most days (and almost always in the evening). Time to figure out how to make it all work every day!
Accountability: I was on plan: An eating plan that is. It was our anniversary, so I enjoyed the food at the gorgeous place we went to.
Back to reality with my meal plan:
2 Years, 5 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 21 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Leftover tuna sashimi
S: cottage cheese and/or ostrich meat stick
