What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
Morning RNY'ers! Mid-week, heading to a long weekend.!!! My younger older starts 8th grade today. I going to another worksite to interview staff for a complaint. It pointless though cause the person the complainant accused of harassment just announced his resignation, so it's all a moot point. But I have to close it out-- I hate futile work.
Qotd: I'm big on setting little goals for various things-- it just keeps me focused to accomplish something. So--name ONE Short term goal you have for yourself. In any regard, but just ONE- not a list of every thing you'd like to accomplish in a perfect world.
Me: I want to tackle dinner prepping at least 3 weeknight meals on the weekends. 2 days into school and I'm already feeling stressed about feeding my family in the evenings, after work. Ugh!
No weight yet- not up, 3.4 years out
M1: egg, cheese stick, Turkey sausage links
M2: Greek yogurt & berries
M3: bourbon chicken chunks 4.2oz
M4: Chicken wings-- baked

Good Morning Menuers,
Today is my endoscopy and I sure hope there is nothing wrong. To tell you the truth, I haven't had any pains like last week, just a little pain in the morning. Last week I was a 7-9 on the pain chart this week it's been a 1-3. Weird.
QOTD: I have several small goals. I'd like to get involved with 5Ks again. I don't think I can run (tore cartilage in my hip 8 years ago and the doctor told me no more running) but I would like to be a walker. I think if I do it my husband would join in too.
B: protein shake
S: protein water
water up until 12
D: probably will skip because anesthesia always does a number on me
Have a great day everyone!!

Do you have an Instantpot? I use mine a few times a week for meals, time saver and so easy to use. There are tons and tons of recipes it the Instantpot on Pinterest. I batch cook chicken on Sunday and then use it during the week. I actually use a few hours on Sunday to get breakfasts, lunches and a few dinner ideas prepped and ready to go. I know a lot of people that do it so it has been helpful to get tips and tricks from them. Good luck with your goal!

There's even an Instant pot group here, I was added to it but haven't spent much time there yet. The Facebook Instant Pot Group is very active!

Good morning! Yay for Wednesday and a long weekend ahead!
QOTD - i'd Like to increase my step count. Not breaking 10k consistently and that needs to change. I'm doing other workouts like Pilates that don't count as steps but still want to get more I .
accountability - last night I didn't get back to the hotel until about 7 and I was hungry, so I had an extra serving of salami; it was the same calories as my emergency snack (which I had room for) so not exactly the worst thing but then I was over full all night.
today we have a team dinner at a restaurant that has been in biz since 1905! I scoped the menu and all the chicken options are breaded and just about everything on the menu is fried but I think I've found some good options and have a plan. No idea what the calories are going to be though.
b - premiere + coffee
l - dannon light and fit greek Boston cream
d - piquillo peppers stuffed with chorizo, mushrooms and ham (this is a baked dish) or a rolled steak stuffed with chorizo or a side salad. I am probably leaning toward the peppers - they are an appetizer so will be a smaller portion and I won't have to ignore the sides like a full entree.

I love when I can scout out the menu ahead of time and make a plan.

At the restaurant tonight, they handed me my own half loaf of fresh from the oven Cuban bread and my own butter dish. Still warm, through the white paper wrapper.....and I marshaled every bit of my willpower and gave it to one of my coworkers to have. After that, the whole rest of the meal was easy. Had a small pepper and a half stuffed with chorizo/ham/mushrooms, a bit of shredded cheese and two asparagus. It was divine, even without the bread. All I could think was "oh, it smells so good but oh, you will feel so bad"
