Hi all

still on vacation but coming back tomorrow! Looking forward to being back but not for work lol

qotd: I'm listening to sharp objects the book on audible. I generally listen as I'm too ocd to sit for a period of time and read. Better to listen and move at the same time. When I'm at the gym I usually start it when on elliptical to kill time.

God morning~ Had a very nice relaxing weekend all around. We went to visit Robs parents. They ended up meeting us so we didn't have to go all the way into the dessert. We had a nice lunch and went bowling. It was a great time. Yesterday was even nicer - super relaxing. I had no idea I missed that last 5 episodes of 'This is Us' but there they were in the DVR - unwatched. I'm all caught up now for season 3 to start. I have an appointment at the bank this morning to close my parents bank accounts. Feeling relieved to have their final affairs taken care of, but it all just seems so, final...

QOTD - I loved reading when I was younger but I'm not a reader anymore. I want to be, really, but I don't have the patience anymore. I am very visual person and end up falling asleep. I try like hell to read my favorite classics, the current one I'm trying to read is Count of Monte Cristo. I read a little and get distracted. I do the same with all of Jane Austen and Charles Dickens. I can't remember the last time I made it though a whole book. I know the stories by heart though.

Accountability - I made the mistake of tasting Robs squirty cheese in a can...thinking it would be awful and it IS awful - awfully GOOD and salty yummy and I got carried away putting it on some protein chips - none of which I planned for or had any business eating. It cost me a whole pound this morning - UGH!

I am finally back home! So, I thought I would be able to post while in Vancouver, but things just got so crazy being there by myself and spending every waking hour in Roger's Arena. It was nuts, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My biggest problem though was food. Stadium food is just not wls friendly and I really really struggled. It would have been okay if I was able to leave the arena to go out for meals, or even if they just consistently let me bring in my own snacks. But I survived. I just learned to be a little demanding about what constitutes extra ham on a pizza. Dinner 4 nights in a row 3 slices of a small pizza with the toppings pulled off and crusts thrown away. Not ideal.

Qotd: I read a lot! I used to be that kid who would read while walking around town. Currently I am reading a biography about King Ludwig the second of Bavaria. Before that a biography about Captain John Paul Jones. Normally I am into Sci-Fi and Fantasy, like the Expanse series and anything by Brandon Sanderson.

Accountability: Last week was genuinely terrible. I knew it was going to be rough when at one point I was scouring the boxes of free candy in the suite to find one with protein!!! Chocolate Pocky has 3g....Ugh.

Bf: 4oz fage Greek yogurt, 37g Julian's bakery pro granola

MS: babybel

L: Crustless chicken quiche, 4 triscuits

AS: 2 servings (1/2 pouch) syntrax green apple protein, 2 kiwi, 1/2oz pork rinds

D: leftover Turkey meatballs, 1/4 garlic tomato sauce, 1/4 cup reduced fat mozzarella cheese

Goals: 1 hour on the treadmill, 950 calories 90g protein, 120oz water, all vitamins.

Morning. Today did not start out well. I live 7 miles from my office. It took me 68 minutes to get to work. Grrrr. Weekend was good, but not long enough . . . never is. On saturday I went to an outdoor screening of Bridesmaids. Food choices sucked. About 30 minutes after we got there, my blood sugar crashed, I freaked my friend out and had none of my usual cures with me to raise it. I ended up eating kettle corn and drinking a coke. Which was not the best choice, but literally my other option was a cup full of pudding from the pudding truck (there were a bunch of food trucks at the event). Also, for those who have know about my pea**** phobia, while I was in the middle of my crash, a pea**** walked right up to me and wouldn't leave. I couldn't move because of my blood sugar (I was afraid I'd fall over). So pea**** - 1, Stacy - 0. Yesterday was consumed by errands. Hoping for a quick week.

PPQOTD: I'm reading political books at the moment

My plan:

B: ground turkey with cauliflower "rice"

L: leftover tri tip and carrots

D: Maybe steak??

S: yogurt before the gym (this is an amazingly carb heavy menu, so I may have to reconsider)

My dinner date from Saturday

Oh man, that sounds awful! I have to admit, if I had a pea**** phobia and one walked up to me when I was dealing with a bs crash, I would wonder if I was hallucinating and would need to take the picture to prove to myself I wasn't! Hope you are doing better today and getting home is much shorter than getting there!!

QOTD: Currently reading Rumours of Glory by Bruce ****burn if you like him at all it's a memoir but tells the stories behind most of his songs. Also The Terra-Cotta Dog by Andrea Camilleri the Inspector Montalbano series. I love to read and usually have a couple of books on my tablet from the Library. I love Overdrive Media and our library system. I have a huge room full of books, the last time I moved I did go through them and weed them out, but still have too many. I quit buying books. That's why I love the library and my tablet.

Back at work today, should be working instead of doing this.

Working on my accountability today, and tomorrow I have another EGD. I am not looking forward to it.

Have a great day everyone!

QOTD:

Currently reading The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan. Yes I now know how much more than the vast majority of people about the sex life of corn. (yes, they "do it"!) I also know a lot about the life of a standard beef cow and honestly i feel like I'm one step closer to being a vegetarian or at the very least, a discriminating omnivore.

Something interesting because most of us think in terms of calories... in the U.S. it takes approximately 10 calories of energy to produce 1 calorie worth of food.

QOTD: I am an internet reader/researcher mostly. I read books just rarely finish them.

I don't know what to eat anymore been mostly living on fish, shredded meats, soft foods and protein powder since the acid started acting up. Since it seems to be doing better thought I would try steak last night. Nope. Didn't want to go down. I love steak.

B: latte overnight oats

B2: yogurt and cantaloupe

L: LC pita pizza, cucumber

D: Turkey sausage and ricotta frittata, green beans

S: peanut butter, turkey and cheese

Ex: bike at gym, swim
