Good morning everyone~ I survived the long road trip to visit Rob's parents yesterday, in fact it really nice! We had a great time and I look forward to seeing them again in a few months. Today will be chill - walking the dogs, grocery shopping, prepping for the week, laundry and lounging. Funny even though I was in a car for 10 hours yesterday, I still met all my activity goals on my apple watch?! Nice!
QOTD - I am the supervisor for our County Probation Dept. Revenue/Recovery Collection Unit. A job I fell into because of my accounting background, but never planned for. I do love it, though.

Good Morning Bethmal and Menu Family!
Thank you for starting us off, Bethmal.
QOTD: I was manager of a picture framing shop for 17 years and I enjoyed making people's photos, artwork and needlework look beautiful with the right frame and mats. Before that I made signs and artwork out of my home. I enjoyed people appreciating my art talents. Even though retired from those jobs, I will always be an artist and I enjoy doing watercolor and other kinds of artwork.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 99, Calories - 1,305, Carbs - 183.

Good morning everybody. We had two barbecues yesterday. First a neighborhood block party and then a tent event at a minor league baseball game. I made as brief an appearance as possible at both without being totally anti-social. Fortunately, nobody was actively cooking at either so I didn't really smell anything.
QOTD - I am a CPA. At this point in my career, a lot of my job involves finding projects for our younger professionals to work on but I still enjoy rolling up my sleeves and getting into the problem solving aspects.

Also I'm drinking decaffeinated tea. Still a novice at tea but it is nice to have something warm in the morning.

Good morning! I have a bit of a concert hangover this morning--headache, ears ringing a bit--but it was a great show! I'm focusing on hydrating today though. It was outdoors and I know I didn't have enough water for as much as I was sweating.
Today I am heading off to the gym, and Costco, and then home to do some garden cleanup and laundry, however it looks like it might have rained early this morning so I may not get to the garden if it's too wet.
Qotd: I currently am an operations research analyst for an independent broker dealer. We service financial representatives, make sure their client account paperwork is in good order, process trades and disbursements, as well as handling the broker's commissions and fees. I also research and monitor for money laundering and other illegal activities, and potentially freeze accounts or put holds on the broker's business if he's doing something shady with his clients accounts. That's rare though--mostly I'm a paper pusher ;) I find the research aspect of my job not interesting, exactly, but rewarding, like solving puzzles. I was an English teacher originally and this is a far cry from that except I am a trainer for new hires, so I guess there's a little teaching still going on.
breakfast: cheese omellet with hot sauce, followed by coffee with SF pumpkin spice creamer
lunch: I'll probably keep it light if I make it outdoors, and just have some yogurt or a protein shake. Or both, spaced apart.
dinner: roasted Marconi peppers stuffed with fajita seasoned chicken and pepper jack

A day late, I didn't even look at the computer yesterday.
QOTD: My current job is as an Outside Plant Engineer for the telephone company. I'm responsible for 4 exchanges, from the central office to the customer is my responsibility. I design the jobs the system I use is an Auto Cad based system, my favorite part of the job is fielding. I get out of the office and look at what is actually in the field and wheel off distances. Unfortunately I'm so busy I don't get to do this too often. I have been in the telecommunications industry since 1978 and done every job I could possibly do. My favorite was Cable Splicer, working in manholes, on poles and being outside. The only down side was working in the Pacific Northwest lots of rain and cold winters. I like my current job but hate the pressures I'm under. There is way too much work and not enough time, and as I am a contractor so if I don't work I don't get paid. I would like to have vacation and holidays again, it's what I miss the most.
I didn't eat great yesterday and I paid the price with nausea. I haven't weighed myself for a few days and was surprised to have gone down .2 lb, not much but it's in the right direction.
