Little update with me

I have been MIA for a little bit. We went away last week but came home early (last Thursday) because I was having really bad back pain. Fast forward to Sunday and I started having severe upper abdominal pains. I called my doctor right away and have an appointment for tomorrow (Friday.) Tuesday the pains were so bad my husband got really concerned and convinced me to go to the ED. The wait was excruciating (3 hours to be seen) but once I got to a room things started happening - Cat scan with contrast, blood work, ultrasound... and guess what? Everything was normal. Nothing is wrong. But I am still having really bad pains, I have zero appetite (almost down another 10 pounds), eating hurts, I can drink liquids at room temperature but I get pains, I feel nauseous and have diarrhea (sorry tmi). The pains come and go - it's not constant. They can be dull, or sharp and sometimes they radiate to my side. I know we are all different, but has anyone had anything like this or what can I do to help myself in the meantime?

Do you still have your gallbladder? It almost sounds like a gallbladder attack.

The other possibility would be adhesions (scar tissue that forms from abdominal surgery) Adhesions can wrap themselves around or attach themselves to internal organs and cause significant pain. They also don't show up on any form of medical imaging. The only way to know if you have them is to have an exploratory surgery.

Hernias are the same. Very difficult to see on imaging and can cause symptoms like this.

I was also going to suggest gallbladder, but I think something would have come up on a CT

I do have my gallbladder but the ultrasound only had one small Stone and all blood work came back normal. I am thinking scar tissue? Can that happen at 8 months out??

I don't have anything to add (I was thinking maybe gallbladder...sludge or small stones can be painful too) or adhesions. Please let us know what your Dr says. I hope you can get some relief soon
