Hey guys, had surgery 7 days ago (8/15/18). One of my incision sites started bleeding very lightly today. Is this normal? Should I just clean it up gently and take it easy?

I had one of my larger incisions open a bit and start oozing a tiny bit for a few weeks post op also...surgeon told me to put steri strips on it and it would be fine. you can buy them at walgreens or any drug store. I would probably call the surgeons office just to be safe though.

Call your surgeon to be safe, but I believe very light oozing is somewhat normal, though 7 days out I'm not so sure. Is the area red or hot to the touch?

i didn't experience this, but my husband did have one incision that "wept" for close to 2 weeks, but surgeon confirmed no infection.

Not red or hot. Not sore or painful. I will give them a call in a bit when they open :)

My navel leaked like a faucet for a week. I used to tape paper towels to my belly to keep it from soaking through my clothing. Wasn't really bloody but it was quite nasty.

As soon as I got my JP drain removed it stopped.
