Mandi, it's a daily struggle that's for sure! I have the same regain "OMFG" feeling and it's hard to reign it in. I must concur with Sheila's comment - you will be hungry if you have broth and shakes. Try hard-boiled eggs, salmon, chicken breast, ground turkey, steak...all dense proteins. Grim wrote somewhere that he can eat 3 days worth of calories in an hour long period of crackers, but fills right up on steak...and it's the truth. When I eat as I should (dense protein!), I realize that even at almost 5 years post-op, my pouch isn't ginormous. It's only ginormous when it's being loaded with popcorn and chips :)

I totally agree! I think I just need a couple really strict days to remind/convince myself that I can do this and that I will do this. I'm going to do a massive fridge purge this week and stock up on everything that I can meal prep for healthy options. The pretzels and chocolate have got to go stat!!

QOTD: My fear is that I wouldn't be able to ever eat popcorn or bread again. Unfortunately I can eat both, I just don't eat them all the time, or in the quantities I did before.

I ended up going home early yesterday and crawling into bed. Sinus infection and smoke are kicking my butt. Hoping the antibiotics will kick in soon. Getting into the bad habit of not walking in the morning, it's been 3 days. But it is really hard to want to walk when your head feels like it's going to explode.

Accountability: Too many everything yesterday, will get back on track today.

I was hoping the antibiotics would cancel my scheduled EGD for next week, no such luck! I have to say I am dreading it and looking for any excuse to cancel.

Work is still overwhelming and I need to buckle down and just get it done. Wishing for some help, but I don't think it will happen. But it is hump day! Have a good day everyone

I hope you feel better very soon! I haven't been walking for a few days either, but it's because of the smoke. Hopefully things will clear soon!

The smoke is bad where I am at too in the PNW. I have had a dull headache for the past few days. I am hoping it will clear up soon. I am heading to the coast Sunday, so looking forward to some fresh salty beach air. I hope you feel better soon.
