What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
morning everyone!
somehow I am up 1.25lbs this morning...I am not really worried about it but it is frustrating I keep fluctuating between the same 1.5lbs now. I guess it's to be expected that I'll probably slow down quite a bit now, 6 months out and down 100lbs...just planning to keep doing what I've been doing and try to up my fluids a bit and see how it goes.
QOTD: before I ever actually researched it, I figured WLS was an "easy" fix, for overweight people who were lazy and it just made their stomach tiny so they couldn't eat, and that anyone who gained back their weight after the surgery was probably just eating all day.
obviously this is not the case, but I know that since I thought this, it's probably a common misconception lots of people have about WLS.
before I actually decided to have the surgery I did do a lot of research and read lots of people's blogs/watched vlogs, youtube videos and read threads here on OH and learned a lot...I think that I figured I would feel full after a few bites, and that just isn't the case. I never "Feel" full when I eat and I am just starting to figure out what "satisfied" really means. Even when I know I have eaten enough, I still WANT more...and it's not until at least 20-30 mins after I finish eating that I realize whether I have eaten too much and start feeling nauseous...it's all trial and error and making sure I measure everything before I start, so I won't eat more than I should.
I also was afraid I could never drink from a straw again but that is actually my preferred method now...it helps me tremendously!

Good Morning Peach and Menu Family,
QOTD: I kind of did RNY gastric bypass impulsively without much thought ahead of time, so I didn't have any preconceived ideas. I didn't realize that there was a honeymoon period and that after the first year things got harder. I was also surprised at how easy the surgery was and how quickly I recovered from it. I was pleasantly surprised and how much better I felt once the weight dropped off.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 92, Calories - 1,405, Carbs - 199. Weight steady at 138.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: 1/2 chicken, bacon ranch sandwich, light & fit Greek yogurt
D: Healthy Choice meal, light & fit Greek yogurt
E: Walking dogs

Good morning and happy hump day~There is nothing in walking distance of my work thankfully, but my lunch runs to whatever store are just as risky for crap buying! My work is changing the locks on all the doors today and they don't have enough keys to go around for 2-3 more weeks... uh, who is the genius that planned this? It's a high security building and my entire unit all need keys to get in and out of our offices/office area and to go to the bathroom, WTF? I slept so hard last night but woke up still tired with a very stiff neck. Ugh, will I ever stop missing Advil? My commute was great but man it's dark when I leave now, BOO. Man, I'm sounding whiny...so on an up note - I've lost a pound and I get my hair done Friday - YAY!
QOTD - one word - Diarrhea. I heard/read awful stories of people who had this constant issue and I couldn't imagine living like that. But for me and most that I know it's quite the opposite - constipation -which is it's own issue, but the lesser of two evils in my opinion. Thankfully I have my situation handled so I'm good. I'm glad I didn't let that change my mind.
