What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
Ugh. My brothers are apparently taking their sibling rivalry too seriously. My one brother is still in rehab after his stroke at the beginning of the month, and my twin brother was just admitted to the hospital last night due to extreme pain and burning in his shoulder, and couldn't catch breath. He's on morphine for pain currently. They ruled out heart attack and clots, but his liver enzymes were abnormal (he takes a LOT of ibproufin due to pain with club foot), and his platelets were low. So 2/3 of my brothers are now in the hospital.
qotd: several things! My mom had RNY 16 years ago and vomited and dumped constantly, so I thought that would be my life post-op. My husband struggled with chewing enough and coughed up his meals a lot. I've had to vomit/cough up food only twice, and only dump on ice cream. I've been able to tolerate other sweet treats just fine, to my horror. I also thought it was just going to be EASIER. The weight would just fall off no matter what I ate. NOT TRUE. I still work for every pound of loss and I do NOT lose when I eat extra snacks. Tracking and measuring are imperative.
breakfast: coffee and premier
i brought a container of about 9 oz of pulled rotisserie chicken to eat for snacks and lunch throughout the day, and a little dipping cup of buffalo sauce. I woke up late and that's the quickest thing I grabbed.
Dinner will be a cup of leftover Zuppa Toscana soup

Mornin' All!
DH just took our 19-year-old kitty to the vet's to have a mass removed from her skin. The vet told us the other day that there's very little chance any malignant cells would have spread. Still, with a cat that age, I'm always concerned, but hopefully she'll pull through just fine and they'll get all the malignant cells out!
Not much on the agenda today - pretty much the same as yesterday - i.e, sticking around the house. I hope I start feeling more comfortable soon...
QOTD: I also figured I'd be sick a lot. And dumping. And never being able to eat most foods again.
