Nearly one month post op; solid food dinner ideas?
My boyfriend wants to make me dinner tomorrow; any healthy ideas? He's a burger and a pizza man, which I know I can't eat and nor do I want to. And after a serious dumping experience I had with a single meatball last week, I'm afraid to touch red meat again.
Depends on what you tolerate at this point. My first solid meal was a nice piece of grilled salmon (cooked easy, so it was very moist). It was great. Whatever he does - go easy on the doneness. That's why fish works well, if you can stomach it. Right now I've been loving a good bratwurst on the grill lately, but that's likely not on your menu yet. ;)
If he isn't grilling I'd suggest poaching some nice fish you like. Poach it in a great flavored broth. I did that a lot at the start. Loved it and keeps it very moist.

Fish and shrimp seemed to work well for me early on, as did deli lunch meat, though it sounds like he might want to make you something a bit nicer than lunch meat ;)

Have a little lunch meat, and tell him he can cook you dinner in a few months. There's not a whole lot you can eat at one month out, and not a lot of it.
Maybe he can do something else for you besides cook?
