What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Glad to see you JB!
QOTD: I love the old geezers, but I'm probably a cross between Miss Piggy and Beaker wanting to be loved but always blowing things up metaphorically.
I do have a sinus infection and was given a mega dose of Amoxicillin. Does anyone know how antibiotics are for people post WLS? I'm hoping they don't cause other problems.
I couldn't function yesterday, the pain just put me in a place where I couldn't accomplish anything. Everything was a chore, didn't get my walk in yesterday or today. I'll try to hit the treadmill after work.
Smoke is terrible here, and not expected to get any better for a while, so I'm avoiding outdoor activities. Brilliant neon pink sun this morning.
A recruiter called me yesterday, maybe he'll be able to find me a job where I'm not so overwhelmed. But I'm not holding my breath.
Accountability: not bad ended at 1093, 93 protein, 102 carbs, 20 fat. Didn't weight myself, trying not to be so obsessive. Doctors scale was +5 from mine, but in the afternoon and with clothes so I figure I'm still good.

Welcome back, JB! Late post for me this morning. I've been in the office for more than 2 hours, but i've been busy.
QOTD: Elmo . . . because it's really easy to get me to laugh
My plan:
B: bacon
L: ??/ We have a lunch meeting. If there's nothing available, I brought deli turkey and cheese sticks
D: Sausage and peppers
S: Latte and yogurt before the gym (if I can leave work early enough to make class)
E: Spin (I'd like to do booty blaster then spin, but don't know if I can leave by 6)

Morning Menu Buddies! Happy Tuesday!
JB, nice to see you! I hope things smooth out soon workwise!
There is so much smoke in the air here. The trees at the edge of my yard look like they're veiled in gauze. Yesterday was very bad, Beijing bad, so much so that I didn't even walk the dog, just let her out to relieve herself and then called her back in. It's not so much the smoke you can see that's the most damaging, but more the sub-micron particles that get down deep into your lungs. I should probably get a mask. I'd hoped to be done with fires when I moved from California! But this is reality these days here in the west. The cedars are dropping branches, and the alder trees are dropping leaves - and it's just August! It still looks fresh and lush, but internally, things are not as they should be. Makes me sad for our beautiful world. Anyway, today will be another indoor day for me. It's supposed to be better tomorrow, hope so. The light on the trees at sunset, however, has been especially golden and beautiful.
Good news this morning on my scale, another incremental inch downwards!
QOTD: Like Sheila, I had a huge sweet tooth, especially for ice cream, but I also plowed through many, many, many bags of cookies. So I would say Cookie Monster, for my pre-op diet of choice, but also Miss Piggy, for my similarly girly clothing/jewelry/etc. preferences! I always had a special soft spot the Count, though!
First: Tea, a few big mugs
B: Pot roast
L: tuna
D: More pot roast
S: Greek yogurt with a little Cinnamon Buns protein powder for flavor
Have a lovely day, my fellow RnYers!

Sorry to hear the PNW is't fairing much better than CA for fires/smoke these days. Stay safe!
The Count my favorite!!

Thanks Amy! This smoke is mostly from fires in British Columbia, an area I had always thought of as being like a rain forest...but we are in a new, much more fragile and unbalanced era. I so wi**** would pour, douse the flames, and clear the air!
I kinda love the Count, too!
