What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 8/21/18 2:26 am
Hi Guys, I thought I would pop on quickly this morning. Clearly I am stalling....haha.
Life continues to be super duper busy, but I am hoping it feels more manageable once kids actually come back to school this week. The summer is just SO busy & overwhelming, and think it is partly because there are no routines--it's like drinking from a fire hose.
QOTD: I love the muppets! Which muppet are you most like in real life? I am Kermit--1000000%. He is a little neurotic... a hard working control freak, like me. But also a good friend and good listener :)
Menu:
B: Fit Frappe Mocha Protein Coffee
S: Fage Yogurt
L: Salami & Cheese
S: Sargent Balanced Break
D: FISH TACOS - every day is Taco Tuesday now, lol.
Good morning JB and menu folks! JB it is good to see you on the thread. I hope that getting into the school year routine helps things to get better.
My first day in my new work detail went well. I had a meeting with my new boss and she was very positive, which is exciting. I feel that this will be a good place for me, at least for a while.
Last evening I did a hard core workout--30 minute of cardio with a Jillian Michaels DVD and then 45 minutes of weight work. I definitely feel the evidence of it this morning and plan to make today's exercise a lighter workout. I'd love to do a walk at lunch, but there are supposed to be thundershowers most of the day...boo hiss! So I'll have to figure something else out.
QOTD: not sure...I like Kermit but I'm not sure if that most describes me.
Manu:
B1: Isopure C&C protein shake/iced coffee
B2: 2 HB eggs
Snack: chomps
Lunch: chicken breast, salad
Snack: Buddig's turkey package, small apple
Dinner: I'd like to make a steak
Exercise: hopefully a light walk

So glad to see you rise from the ashes there JB ...
QOTD: hmmm... not sure what muppet I am. I have some good drama in me so I could be Miss Piggy... I remember telling me ex-husband he looked like Beaker because of his morning hair.
Acid chronicles: better but feels like it's always on the edge of tipping over to the dark side. Making my own cold brew really does help, and I found decaf espresso beans at Starbucks- so batch I set up this morning is half-calf.
B: cold brew Fairlife latte, overnight oats
L: tuna melt. and veggie tbd
F: Cod and cauliflower gnocchi
S: protein, Greek yogurt, apple
ex: rest day

Good morning! I laid awake all night listening to the torrential rain so today's a coffee day for sure. I dragged my arse out of bed and biked to work (between the raindrops) and got here reasonably dry. I almost landed in the back of an el camino (which would have been the 2nd time that's happened) but my brakes were dry enough to stop me this time. Honestly, to have one run-in with what I would call a rare car is unusual. I keep finding them for some reason.
Other than that, it was a nice little ride and I enjoyed my newly repaired bike. Here's hoping the rain subsides now, or at least just moves north to help with extinguishing wildfires around the Sudbury area.
Menu: Pretty much par for the course. Protein bar, coffee, cottage cheese and blueberries, etc.
QOTD: The obvious answer is "Animal" I think (for sure when I'm behind my drums) but I really have a bit of Fozzie, and definitely the two old guys in the balcony in my personality.
Animal! I love it!

Hi JB! Nice to see you starting us out. I do hope your job lets you have a better balance soon.
We have company (arrived at dinner time yesterday). It is cloudy so I am mulling over what to do today.
QOTD: Grover was probably my favorite though I really had to think about it. As he said he had such a "cute and lovable personality".
Accountability: Good even though we went out to dinner. I need to continue that.
