What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Morning all! I'm up early but running behind already so this is just a start and we can all chip in as we get a chance.
Today looks like the heat is supposed to break a bit. I'd like to get out and do some maintenance work on my flower beds. I also want to put in a good hour workout in my little gym including maybe my new Jillian Michaels workout DVD.
Yesterday we started watching a few episodes of DCI Banks on Netflix. Anyone else seen that one?

Snack: Buddig turkey package
Lunch: maybe my leftover Peruvian chicken breast
Snack: TJ's salmon jerky
Dinner: I'd like to make steak

Thank you for starting us out, Janet!
QOTD: It's Sunday, so what nourishes your spiritual self? Do you attend church? Find God in nature? What gives you peace? I attend church sporadically. I pray and listen to the still small voice inside myself. I find God in nature and even in my dogs' eyes. I believe God is everywhere.

L: ham, cheese, tomato on 45 calorie bread, light & fit Greek yogurt

Have a great day everyone!

Mornin' All!
Headed out for coffee with DH in about 30 minutes, then I'm meeting a friend at 11:30 and we'll be headed off to meet another friend *****cently moved back to the area (well, about 40 minutes away) from the Twin Cities. I didn't take a pain killer this morning in case I need to drive (and I may not need them anymore - I've been down to 1-2 a day the last three days or so - I may be able to give them up completely now). Not sure what's the menu today other than breakfast and my coffee and protein shake. My calories have snuck back up the last two days (1500-1600) - I want them back down!!! I'd been eating 1200-1300-ish for a few days before that and have dropped a few pounds. My appetite is still down, so it should be easy to drop back down in calories!! Not sure why I felt compelled to eat that much yesterday - my body wasn't asking for it!
QOTD: I'm not religious in the traditional way, but I find nature and meditation very calming and fulfilling - I think that would be considered spiritual.
2 years 3 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake
L:?
AS: protein shake (need to keep my protein way up for healing!)

Good morning! Today is going to be a good day I hope. Yesterdays accountability was horrible. I am never going to get to goal if I keep up the snacking. This is hard! I see my surgeon is Nov for my 2 year appt. I really want to be 160!
QOTD- We have a church that our family attends, but I am not too thrilled with it. Our family is looking for another church. I was actually sitting here this morning asking myself if I am going to go to church and where.
Food for today-
2 eggs, cottage cheese
Tuna with pickles and onion and cottage cheese
4 oz shredded chicken with salsa
light and fit greek yogurt ( so happy the pumpkin flavor is out)
Lots of water and vitamins always.

Good morning everyone~ It's a busy day but an easy morning to start so I am enjoying my coffee. We'll head out tot he park in a little bit with the dogs. I have laundry, shopping, a baby shower and a family BBQ today. We won't be home until late and I'm not thrilled about that since it's a work night, but I'll live. Tomorrow I'm getting some bloodwork done in the morning and I'm excited to see the results of how I'm doing.
QOTD - I was raised Catholic, but I am more spiritual than religious. After losing my very devout Catholic dad, I looked to the church for comfort quite a bit. I attend mass here and there, light candles and pray regularly. I feel deeply connected and it will always be a part of me. I don't like some things about it and of course the news lately. But honestly, I make my own way on my spiritual path.
Accountability - great - recieved my pro granola yesterday - The vegan cinnamon is like chewing rocks - so hard it hurt my teeth. The vanilla was delicious - crispy like a lightly sweetened cookie and awesome on yogurt. The reviews said it had an awful after taste, which I am usually super sensitive to but I didn't notice one.
20+ mo+ post op - 157.1
b- coffeex3, yogurt w/pro granola
l-BBQ chicken
d-Mediterranean BBQ
v/l - on track
e- walking the dogs
Have a great day!

Morning again and thanks to everyone who has chipped in.
I'm back home from some errands and a meeting with my therapist. I really need the support right now and am glad to have her. Also hope to have coffee with a friend who knows some people who work with disability. DW & I need alot more information about what decisions to make right now both short and long term. We have the pharm. issues covered with the neurologist and I am hoping to get some occupational therapist sessions for DW through him as well to help stimulate her brain. In the meantime, lots of hugs and listening.
QOTD: I grew up in a very religious home and have explored alot of varieties of religious practice. Honestly, traditional religious practice doesn't really work for me any more but I still feel that many of the values that I learned about over the years are important in my life...honesty, kindness, caring. I certainly enjoy my time in nature and find that it is very renewing but I don't associate that with religion as such.
I did just think of a question...DW is very creative and a skilled craftsperson. She has been making alot of bead necklaces in the last few months to keep busy and I've encouraged her to try selling some on Etsy. I've bought some things on Etsy but never sold anything. Anyone have any experience with that?
Take care my friends and be kind to yourself and the people around you!
