Thanks so much Amy. I just keep taking a deep breath and trying to find peace and strength through this.

omg - I'm so sorry to hear about your DW - I would be really stressed out, too!

I think it's good you took that six-month detail. I would have taken it, too.

Thanks! As for the detail, I have explained to them that I will have to take time off to take DW to appointments, on the other hand, I hope that something new will keep my mind busy and less worried!

I know it's scary dealing with so many unknkwns, especially such consequential ones. Wishing your DW steady and improved health! Wishing you everything good and peaceful! I totally understand your initial response to being asked to take on that training role, but I think you made the right decision nevertheless. Here's to the powers that be smacking themselves in the forehead when realizing that they could have promoted you earlier. May they do so ASAP!

Take good care of yourself Janet - we are with you and your DW and wish you both everything good.

Thanks for the encouragement! Much more helpful than a pint of ice cream!

I am sorry DW and you are dealing with this. That is a lot to take in and so much uncertainty.

DD has had a similar experience at work. It did seem to help that she has taken on some new duties. She is also starting a part-time MBA program in a couple of weeks

Sorry about the scary news for DW. Hope things get better with the dr's help.

I know what you mean by giving up a telecommuting day, I would hate it, but if it helps you with promotions...go for it. Good luck!

1000 in a row and yet I associate you with only one statement---"mothers get a free pass." White Dove and I share liking things tidy thus leading to the QOTD: I watch the show Hoarders because some hoarders once were clean freaks; I figure watching might keep any tendencies at bay; same twisted theory is probably why I watch 600lb Life sometimes, too.

I do agree with you. If my brain is in bad places about the food watch 600lb Life. Scared straight.
