What's on your Photo Friday Menu RNY'ers?
Morning everyone! No pics today unless I come up with something later...
Lots of good and bad stress right now and I'm trying to keep to plan around it all. Met DW at the neurologist's yesterday afternoon for her benchmark memory-cognition testing. She thought that she did pretty well, but when we had the meeting afterward, the neurologist told her that her levels were very low and she needed to plan to take disability at least for a few months. He believes that he can pharmacologically improve things until her brain can regenerate itself but that may be as much as 2 years (or more, OR NOT AT ALL). Very scary and lots of unknowns. I believe in the skills of the neurologist but it's not a good prognosis.
Yesterday I was asked to take a 6-month detail to train some new folks in our department. I have said no several times before because it is for the same group that I wasn't hired to supervise. Call it hurt feelings, but I decided to take a deep breath and take the detail for something new for a while. It was also pointed out to me that doing this might make me a preferred candidate for the next supervisory position. I start on Monday. I'll lose one of my telework days (Mondays), which is a bummer, but I'll cope.
Not alot of plans this weekend. We'll definitely go to Trader Joe's and maybe stop at the thrift store. We've also wanted to see the new movie, Christopher Robin so might do that. Otherwise, lots of R&R.

Oh, i'm sure that you and DW must be incredibly stressed and worried right now. I hope that the neuro is able to help and all his cautions are just the usual not wanting to over commit. Christopher Robin is very good, hopefully it can be a nice diversion for you (bring tissue).

Thanks! Worried about the mental strain on DW if she is stuck at home for months on end and can't work, but on the other hand she isn't really able to effectively do her job while she is there now...
