What's on your Thursday Menu RNY'ers?
I found it on Amazon, after becoming addicted to the blueberry flavor coffee at Dunkin--it saves a lot of money making it myself LOL...I think it's about $10 or $12 for a large bottle!
It's called "skinny syrup" made by a company called Jordan I think.

Hi all! Just a quick drive by to keep myself on track. Today is interesting and just took a bit of a crazy swerve. Anyone live in the tampa/Clearwater area? Love it? Hate it?
Accountability - spot on - 476/68/13 on a plan of the same and a whopping 120 oz fluid!!
qotd - I am learning to understand the difference between full and stuffed. It was only within the last few weeks that clicked a bit for me. Previously, full meant uncomfortably stuffed. Now I know that if I finish my premeasured food, wait my 30 minutes, drink water, wait my 30 minutes, I won't need to stuff myself. It was eye opening that not being stuffed was fine. I hope that makes sense!
b - .5 premiere + coffee
l - 3 oz roast beef, .5 oz cheddar, 3 pepperoncini
d - 1.8 oz roast beef, .5 oz cheddar, 3 pepperoncini
s - croc sharp cheddar square
497 cal, 68 protein, 4 carbs
have a fantastic Thursday all!!

My BF's family has a trip in Orlando every summer and we always take a day to go to Clearwater Beach. Gorgeous, soft sand that doesn't burn you, and lovely calm waves. The complete opposite from say, Cocoa Beach on the east coast. That being said, I have no idea how it is to live there. The traffic can be HORRIFIC but hey, that seems to be most places these days. I personally hate humidity so I would not live in Florida, and I know it would be a change for you in AZ, but if the job is incredible...? Maybe someone more knowledgeable will weigh in, but I can vouch for awesome beaches :)

Thank you! I know with all the bridges, one problem becomes many very very quickly. But you reminded me about the beaches and then I started thinking about the manatees...plus Disney...hmmm.

Hello menu pals, happy Thursday!
Yesterday I was so so hungry! I still felt so famished after my lunch that I dove in and had my dinner as well! I then I saw that I was at 650 calories, which has been my limit, so I didn't eat for the rest of the day, but boy, I sure wanted to. By evening it was bad, but I reminded myself that I still have 17+ pounds to go just to hit my first goal. I had many large mugs of tea, which helped but didn't completely erase the hunger. Still I managed to not eat, and am down 1 pound today. I am afraid that if I up my daily calories at this point, my rate of loss will be even slower. So I am going to try to hang in there. Being hungry is not comfortable, and it is actual hunger, not head hunger. My protein intake is ok. Anyway if I can resist adding calories before I transition into maintenance, I figure that would be the shortest distance between where I am now and where I want to be, so I am going to try. But being hungry is no fun. I don't eat anything off plan at all really, though there have been some blackberries here and there, straight off the canes, which are absolutely everywhere here, lush and astonishingly bountiful. These give me some carbs but I basically won't go over 30 and usually am under 20.
QOTD: I learned that even if I had over my limit calorically I need to step on the scale first thing the next morning. There is usually no damage, but if there is I can then confront it head on instead of pretending that over-indulgence never happened. In other words, instead of being afraid of the scale reflecting a gain, I need to embrace it as a friendly tool in the reality of weight management. I know many of you prefer to weigh less frequently, but for me, with my vivid imagination and profound history of deceiving myself about food and weight, a daily weigh-in from now until the end of time will help me to keep it real.
Bonus QOTD: I work from home, so don't commute. Long ago I had longish commutes of an hour or more. Some of these were enjoyable (on the train to and from NYC), some less so (L.A. traffic in the 1970s, impossible, smoggy snarls).
First: tea tea tea!
B: Ham with Swiss cheese
L: tuna
D: chicken
S: smoked oysters
Have fun today, my fellow RnYers!

Scale wise - I'm with you on the need to be realistic, even when it may not be good. I have been an avid daily weigh-er since WLS. It's the first thing I think about when I wake up. Good bad or ugly I always know where I'm at and thankful it hasn't been an issue for me.

Exactly! I avoided weighing myself for years and look where it got me! With daily weigh-ins, the truth stares us in the face. Long ago, I was a daily weigher, and during that time, I kept my weight in check. I want always to remember this! No matter what may have been consumed the day before, one day's worth of damage, when truly owned up to by weighing, can never be that bad, and it can be nipped in the bud. It's the first thing I think about in the morning, too!
