What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
Good morning! Late check in for me today. I took today off so I could get my blood work done and take care of a few other errands.
QOTD: If we go to the casino we consider it entertainment money and may spend $20 each.
Menu: B: latte, eggbeaters, turkey sausage and 1/2 an orange L: steak and carrots S: not sure yet D: grilled chicken breast, carrot spirals, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, sliced fruit and dark chocolate ES: yogurt and fiber cereal
no totals yet since I haven't put into MFP yet. Got stair master and elliptical done. W/V on track.
have a great day all!
QOTD:I do more gambling on my phone than I do in real life, besides on those slots you don't lose real money. I do go to the casino's but not often, my friend loves the buffet which holds no interest for me. I hate the casino's because they are Native American they are the only place where people are still allowed to smoke. I hate that my clothes and hair stink afterwards and it usually gives me a headache. Even the non-smoking areas aren't much better. I always have a set amount to gamble and don't go over it, so not compulsive for me. I occasionally buy a lottery ticket, and I love the horse races but don't bet much. My horse came off the track and I got to see his last 2 races. I bet on him but he lost, which is why I now own him.
I have a friend that is a compulsive gambler, he spent more last year than he made. He was trying to quit, but so far he hasn't. For me money is much to hard to come by to waste it on gambling.
I've had a headache for the last few days, probably caused by the smoke from all the fires. We now have a haze that is everywhere. Smoke from both Northern California and Canada. The weather report is saying it will probably be around for at least the next few weeks. But on the bright side the sun was an amazing bright pink ball this morning.

I'm on my last day of liquids and graduate to puree tomorrow -- if my body will let me. I've been dealing with pain since surgery (7/25) that seemed more intense than normal, but I think it's because I failed to wear the binder the doc gave me (duh) and was eating too fast (thanks for those *****sponded to my plea in another thread). So. Today is three shakes made with pea protein (still not ready to forgive dairy/whey yet -- hurt me once, shame on you ...).
QOTD: Oh boy. We are big gamblers. Well, hubby more than me. We live relatively close to the only casino in Texas and we go about once a month. We budget gambling money, and when it's gone, it's gone. Generally I break even and hubs usually walks out with an extra Benjamin. For us, it's an escape from the reality of our lives (full time work, full time elder care ... it gets tough), if only for a couple hours. I'll do scratch off occasionally, and will buy lottery tickets when the jackpot gets big.

Hope you continue to improve and can move on to purées!

Well that was a bit of a wasted morning. An appointment with my podiatrist for toe pain... but they still didn't have my X-Rays so she just told me to take ibuprofen... which I can't take for obvious reasons. Ugh.
Qotd: Nope, no gambling at all. When I turned 18 I bought a scratch ticket cause I could. I won $15. Never felt a need to gamble since.
