Mornin' All!
Day 5 post PS. I'll be glad when the pain and discomfort are behind me. It's better, but...
I looked better this morning than I did yesterday - Maybe I was just less swollen. The swelling comes and goes. There's some yellow adjacent to the incisions in a few areas. I know there are some medical types on here. Is that just part of the bruising or should i be worried about infection? Everything else looks ok. .
Accountability had been good. I've had very little appetite since surgery, so my calories since then have been pretty low.
QOTD: I've been to a casino twice and don't get the thrill. Like JB said, I saw way too many seniors emptying their pockets there. They didn't appear to be the types who'd be financially comfortable (although I know it's never good to make those kinds of assumptions), and if my perceptions were on target, they were probably using their needed income to chase big wins which will likely never materialize. It was just sad. That said, the first time I won around $200 on the slot machines. The second time I lost $20, and that was that. Never been back. I'm way too much of a tightwad - even losing 20 bucks is painful to me!

Hopefully it's just bruising, but maybe something to get checked if tomorrow it's not changing like a bruise? Hope you continue to feel better each day!!

G'morning Peach and menu peeps!
Today is first day of school!! What's crazy is that it's Aug 15! Smack down in the middle of summer. The whole Europe shuts down in August and especially Aug 15 is a holiday. My family is amazed when I tell them my kids go back to school in Aug. DS is a jr this year. Not only he drives himself now, he told me last night he doesn't need me to make his lunch bag any more! Happy for his independence, sad he is growing up.
QOTD: not a gambler. Don't like losing. When we go to Tahoe DH gambles some and somehow he always win - not big sums but he always leaves with some extra money in his stash. He plays the crab table because he likes the math part of the game. We have a friend who lost the house and marriage to gambling, the investment type. He played the market and was always after the startup company that would make him a millionaire. Don't get me wrong, we all invest but he was just crazy. I guess investments are a sort of gambling.
Accountability: on point.
B: protein coffee
L: beef and broccoli
S: Parmesan cheese
D: chicken fajita
Have a great day, everyone.

We always started the Wednesday or Thursday after Labor Day. The same held true for my son. That school system still retains the traditional schedule, with this year's start date of Sept. 6. But I agree, August back-to-school seems to have become very common. To me that seems uncivilized!
