Thank you for letting us know how you are doing. Yes, protein is so important right now so you can heal. I hope that you are able to go home.

Morning everyone! Didn't do much yesterday, DH went to the local Air Force base and watched an air show that I guess was very cool. I opted to stay home and be domestic...laundry, gardening, etc. I picked a bucketful of hot peppers and think I'll make some hot pepper jelly. Not a huge fan myself, really (if I do have it, I also want it with cream cheese and crackers, so...), but I've had a couple of requests.

Qotd: no real plans since my routine doesn't change all that much. No kids going back to school and I no longer teach, so my job is the same. I will change my hair in September. I like the fun purple for summer, but it's difficult to maintain. I'll keep it through August and then go back to something normal :)

accountability: my in laws took us out to celebrate my belated birthday. We went to a new place and it was wonderful. I had an Asian sesame salad with grilled chicken instead of the breaded chicken it would have come with, but I did splurge a bit and try the appetizers my FIL ordered: fried calamari and onion rings. I only had one ring, but I made an animal of myself with the calamari!

breakfast: coffee and premier

lunch: tuna creations, string cheese

snack: Greek L&F

dinner: there's pork loin chops thawing, so those with some kind of sauce and maybe zucchini on the side

I used to always make hot pepper jelly. I'm not a big fan myself, but I too have lots of requests for it.

I believe you sent me some raspberry jalapeño! I put it on some cream cheese on a plate and it was devoured at a family gathering ;)
