Good morning menu friends! Lily and I have our 4 miles in already and will do another mile after supper. Accountability was good with 10,019 steps and no extra bites. Yesterday was spentwith laundry and housework and there's more cleaning to be done today too. Tomorrow I start incleaning the camper as we're getting ready to leave for a church camp in Eva, Tn in a week and a half. QOTD whatever trip I'm on is my favorite. When I was young we never left Illinois so anywhere is great. I did really the trip to Georgia and finally getting to see the ocean. Post op 5 years 11.25 months and weight at 120.4--still ick but heading down at least. Heres the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz pulled pork 1/2 c green beans D 4 oz baked chicken a few bites mixed veggies--dinner from last night as it wasn't quite thawed. Substituted a pork patty instead. S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day full of smart choices everyone! I'm off to find that essential item--COFFEE!

It's so much fun! Lily goes with us and we areworking with a group called Nomads that's affiliated with the United Methodist church. We do 3 week work trips to churches, schools and church camps to help with maintenance, etc. I've learned all sorts of things:how to use power tools, some plumbing things and my painting has gotten really good. Its really fun too to work with and get to know retired people from all parts of the US. Each job site has different teams signed up and yougoinknowing mostly no one but by the timethe three weeks are overwe are almost like family.

Good morning~ Yesterday was nice and mellow. Today will be busy! Starting the day with a new 3 mile hike and I'm thankful it's on the cool side this morning. Afterwards I have a million errands to run and a lot to do around the house. BBQ and prep for the week later.

QOTD - My favorite trip was with my mom in 1987 we drove from MA to CA together. We went down the east coast and visited all the places we used to live when I was little (VA, DC, NC) and my brother in VA then all across the south to AZ to visit another brother. We saw so many great places, talked and laugh until our our cheeks and bellies hurt - everyday!

Accountability - I had 3 bites of bread, ugh.

b- coffee x 3, yogurt

l-turkey, pepper jack and green chilis melted together

d-BBQ chicken and asparagus

I didn't answer the QOTD earlier because we used to travel A LOT- like two major trips a year in addition to small, weekend ones. It's hard to pick just one..... But maybe when I did a cultural exchange to japan??? We stayed with host families, visited an elementary school and a university, had lunch with the governor of one of the prefectures, among other things. In other words, we did things that tourists wouldn't have been able to do. It was great!

Morning folks!! My run is done and I've dressed and ate breakfast. No plans today- l'll tidy up the house a bit. Get ahead of a few work emails and maybe stop at Burlington to look around.

So I'd been noticing a decline in my water consumption. First I thought I wasn't making the time during the day- but I realized it's the water bottle I've been using. Since surgery I only like ice cold water. My Takeya bottle has not been keeping the water cold at all. I went back to my hydro flask bottle and yesterday I drank two 32oz in no time since the water was how I like it. Boo on the Takeya brand.

Qotd: I think I have two memorable vacations so far. 1st is when we took the kids to Disneyland. We planned it out so well- there is a book that gives you tips on maximizing time spent in the parks and how to strategically order rides to lessen wait times. It was well worth the research as we got to everything popular/on our to do list. We also bought our tickets to the various parks we went to months in advance to spread our overall cost of the trip. 2nd most memorable was when hubby and I did our anniversary trip to Chicago. That was great because we just got along so well, and were doing things at our own leisure.

hi

yesterday was a big errand day, took some stuff to consignment shop near my moms house about 1 hour away, went to kohls to return something, bath and body works for free lotion, car dealer for oil change, tire rotation, and car wash. I worked out while I waited and got lots of snacks for free (I paid for the maintenance plan so they have free starbucks coffee, a gym, apples, oranges, snack bars, water, etc). I get my money's worth. DH wanted fried chicken so I got that for him and came home. Last night I worked on my resume, I had not done a new one in a zillion years and it may be time :(

weight about the same this morning. I was pretty happy with that considering I had an extra protein bar at 5 am yesterday morning because I couldnt sleep.

Plans for today- finish resume, gym, then grocery shopping

QOTD: I would say my 2 week germany trip in 2000. it was great. spent 1 week with friend and her family that live there, then second week my mother and I drove up one side of the rhine and down the other. it was fun and we only went down one - one way street lol-
