Glad to hear from you already and that all went well. Take care of yourself and get your proteins--maybe shakes would be easier and help.

That's what I'm thinking, too. I'm going to try to get 100 grams a day, even if that means drinking five protein shakes! I did just eat some Greek yogurt, though - so that's good. That and the shakes should be pretty easy...

Just the lbl. I'm going back in December for an arm and breast lift - as well as a fleur-de-lis cut if I want it (He wanted to wait on this because he thought I might be happy with just the standard tummy tuck and decide not to get the FDL after all. Also, he said doing a vertical cut later means you won't get all the tension on the skin that you get when you do it at the same time - which means less risk of the incision opening and getting infected

So glad to hear from you! Yes, the pain is real and if the PS "tightened" the muscles, not just removed the skin, there may well be tightness, cramping and pain for several weeks. It was weeks until my appetite really came back, partly because of the tightness of my abdomen. I just focused on getting lots of fluids and protein shakes and when I felt like it I ate small portions of dense protein. Take it slowly. You definitely need lots of fluids and protein but your body will do fine for a while without alot of calories.

Have you been up and walking yet? It was a while before I could stand up straight...perfectly normal to not pull on your incisions. And yes, transitioning will be painful (VERY) for a while. I got a power-lift recliner and that was a life saver so I could do it mostly by myself when I needed to go to the bathroom. I slept in it and lived in it for at least the first 10 days. Don't be afraid to take the narcs and to ask for more if you need them. My PS would have taken me off the oxy much faster if I could have taken NSAIDS, but since we can't take the narcs for as long as you need them, and when you sleep. You can experiment with just taking half, but for now stay ahead of the pain and don't wait until you are in agony before you take the next dose.

Hang in there and get lots of rest. Yes, you will feel like cr@p for a while, but it will slowly ease off and you will get bored...lol!
