What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!
QOTD: The last movie I saw in the theaters was Coco. I saw it with my daughter, Saralisa, shortly after she came home from Washington DC. I was so excited that she asked ME to go see it with her instead of one of her friends!
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 101, Calories - 1,285, Carbs - 119.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: ham, cheese & tomato on 45 calorie bread, light & fit Greek yogurt

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! It is going to be rainy here after a lot of sunny hot days. It would have been a good weekend to clean the house, but I just finished doing that yesterday!
QOTD: I don't remember, though I am considering bringing DH to Mamma Mia 2 today, as he does well with music. I plan to watch Book Club at home once it is available on 8/14. I'd like to see Christopher Robin at some point too as the Pooh characters were DD's favorite.
2 Years, 4 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 20 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: BBQ at a friend's home - burger or chicken probably
S: Siggis yogurt or homemade cottage cheese with fresh berries

Happy Saturday weekend menu buddies! At least I think it's Saturday... tomorrow we fly home finally. The too long trip ends. Today we will spend time with my husbands friend and his wife and my in-laws.
It felt soooooo good to be back to normal eating yesterday. Germany was hard on my little pouch.
Qotd: I haven't seen a movie in the theater in quite a long time. But on our flight back to the US I finally watched a movie that I have owned since it came out but never seen. Maleficent. I really really enjoyed it, but I also can see why some people didn't. Currently I am looking forward to Christopher Robin, then Ralph breaks the internet. I am a Disney fanatic!
Accountability: mostly good and all protein but I did have two small pieces of chocolate we brought back with us.
BF: chobani plain nonfat yogurt cup, 4 triscuits
MS: 1 babybel, 1/4 cup grape tomatoes
L: 2oz sliced rotisserie chicken, 2 triscuits
AS: ostrim meat stick
D: again, not sure because we will be eating out but probably something with chicken.
Aiming for 800 calories, 80g protein, all vitamins, 120oz water (need to get that back up), no exercise yet.
Good Morning, breakfast was a fresh peach protein smoothie. Purchase warning: the pea protein powder DD bought is grainy enough to ruin a good smoothie. With a rare forecast in the 90's, I plan to go swimming in an all-sand lake that requires a half-mile walk in ankle-deep water until swimming is possible. The haze in the air coming down from Canadian wildfires is so thick, it may be spooky barely seeing shoreline. QOTD: LesMiserables was the last good movie seen on the big screen.

That sounds like an incredible walk and swim! Would be totally eerie with the haze, I suspect - have fun; don't get eaten!

I hate the pea protein that I tried ONCE! I had to spit it out it was so bad.

Hey everyone!! My run is done- later than I'd hoped due to rain at sunrise- but at least I didn't get soaked today. Only plan i have today is to get groceries- my fridge is barren!! Would love a different dinner idea- I'll spend some time on the food network app. My weight is up a bit so I really wish I have more things to do to keep my mind busy.
Qotd: I think black panther was the last movie I saw in theaters. It was excellent-- but also left me a bit miffed over the ideas of 'what could have been' if hundreds of years of slavery wasn't our forced path vs. our natural destiny. I'm currently watching the Handmaids Tale and that's leaving me fearful of what could be if fertility & reproduction was ever threatened.
217.5 today, 3.3 years out
M1 egg, cheese stick turkey sausage
M2 turkey burgers, pickles and cheese

Good morning~We woke to NO coffee in the house this morning! So, we hit the ground running and made it to Starbucks before 6am - crisis averted! Haha, we are crazy about our coffee situation and we never run out, I don't know what happened this week! I now have 1/2 my shopping done though and will do the other half when Trader Joes opens in a little bit. We are going to the movies today not sure what we are seeing yet. Going to have a nice relaxing evening and probably BBQ for dinner.
Had my plastic surgery consult yesterday and I'm still wrapping my head around it...mostly sticker shock. I knew it would be up there but it was way more than I thought. I made an appointment with my WLS for skin consult and will make an appt on Monday at a PS office I found close to home. I need more info - lots more. I feel like the PS I saw yesterday was kind of a salesman more than a doctor? I know he would do a good job he showed me SO MANY photos of patients with bodies like mine -he specializes in WLS patients - he gets it, but I just need more info, more consults and opinions. My list order is arms, then breast lift - no implant (was told w/out implant I would look more athletic vs feminine there - ok by me). Then body lift. He said insurance may cover part of my arms and tummy, but seriously still a hell of a lot of money. It was disappointing because I had a number in my head and it was just blown away. We are buying a house early next year (which is way more important to me) so this just may not be in the cards right now, which is sooooo sad... but before I get too depressed about it, I will see more dr's and weigh all my options. It may be after we buy/move that I do this instead, so not as fast as I wanted but it will happen in the next year.
QOTD - The last movie I saw was Ant Man and Wasp - great movie if you like Marvel/Avengers (I do!). I love watching these with my son - he is REALLY into them so it's even more fun.
Accountability - ate at Tommy's burger - I got a small chili and ate half. I liked it -but it didn't like me - . My protein/calories for the day were low. Oh and I ate a few fries.
20 +mo post op - 157.3
b- coffee x4, yogurt
l-leftover pork loin chop w/ SF BBQ sauce
d-carnitas w/cheese
es - yogurt
v/l - on track
e - walk
Have a great day!

Sorry about the sticker shock yesterday. Don't let yourself be depressed though as it will still happen just maybe not right now. I know the skin sagging everywhere is depressing though--trust me I know how it feels. I'm 58 and lost about 160 pounds and look as you'd expect. Because we're retired surgery will likely never be an option. Somedays I just remind myself how much better I feel and other days it really bothers me to even look at myself. It is what it is though. Just be thankful it's an option even if it's in the future.
