LOL, I definitely had to work up to it. The stairmaster was the hardest though.

Good morning!

my lab results got posted to my online portal--I have to be re-drawn for zinc as something went wrong with my doctor's office not using the right kind of tube. I will go over the results with my surgical center on Wednesday, but my iron/ferritin levels have me worried based on what I've been reading on here. So one of my photos today is a screenshot of my iron numbers. This is my first post-op lab draw so I don't know how my center will approach it yet--if they'll jump on it or think I'm fine because I'm mostly in "normal" range. Open to comments and advice :)

qotd: the final straw for me I think was that my husband jumped on the WLS opportunity and I was convinced that if I just followed his diet, I'd lose too. I did his liquid pre-op/post op with him (yes I was hungry), and graduated to mushies with him, etc. he was dropping weight...and over 2 months I'd only lost 9 lbs. I felt so helpless. So I began the process with the same surgeon. My weight loss is still slower than I'd like (I stall for very long stretches) but at least I do actually see the scale moving

breakfast: coffee and premier

lunch: tuna creations, Greek L&F

dinner: steak! 10 oz NY strip are $4.99 at my local grocery store, so I'm stocking up ;)

That pepper is amazing...and don't take this weird but makes your eyes look so green, lol! On the ferritin question, do you know what it was the last time you had it drawn to know what the trend is?

Lol my eyes are green, but in this pic I'm sure the pepper is reflecting in my eyes or something lol

unfortunately these numbers weren't tested on my pre-op bloodwork, and this is my first lab post-op, so I don't have a comparison. I'm just worried that I'm already starting off low :/

Depends on your center whether they will address the ferritin. You are still 'normal' - should definitely be watched. Mines been 20 for a year and 14 the last time. I call it no mans land. Not good but not bad enough.

While your B-12 is normal most people find they do better higher. You can start having symptoms at low normal.
