I did this to be healthy not skinny is just what I needed to hear today!! Thank you!

I've seen that look - i ordered a cheese plate - hold the bread, crackers and honeycomb. (I could have resisted the bread and crackers but would have failed on the honeycomb).

Good morning and thanks for the birthday wishes from yesterday! I slept in, snuggled the kitties, did some boring housework, planted some new veggies for fall, and then we went to a movie party at Alamo Drafthouse.

Accountability: I did not make a good choice at the Alamo and ordered a personal pizza instead of my planned bunless burger and salad. Through the course of the movie I ate the whole thing. I also ate a few of hubby's cheese curds.

Qotd: I do a lot more lately in regard to taking time for myself: bubble bath, reading real books, taking my laptop to Panera to write, getting pedicures, etc. nothing over the top, but definitely time to check out from responsibilities and just give myself some mental relaxation.

breakfast: coffee and premier

lunch: tuna packet, Greek L&F

dinner: chicken thigh I think, maybe a salad

Morning all! Today isn't supposed to be quite as hot and humid, but still certainly August-summer weather. I'd love to get out for a while and may take part of my lunch break to sit outside. Toe is still too painful to do much walking, so that's out.

Ended up ordering fish tacos last night for dinner from a new Salvadoran take-out place. They were wonderfully flavored and I only ate the guts and gave the tortillas to DW. When you have tacos, do you eat the shell? The tortillas don't make me sick as such like yeast breads but they make me feel rather bloated and over full, never mind all the carbs!

This afternoon I go with DW to see the neurologist again to follow up on the latest MRI-Angio. Hoping that we get more answers and maybe even a treatment plan. She had been diagnosed with some vitamin deficiencies and has been taking mega doses but no changes yet. Hoping that this isn't an autoimmune thing. Deep breath.

QOTD: Right now self-love looks like working off my nervous energy stress, but having to protect my broken toe...argh! Since I hit goal, I have also become quite a clothes hog even though I always look for good deals. Way too many cute dresses now!

Menu:

B1: Cappuccino protein shake with iced coffee

B2: scrambled eggs, country ham (yum!)

Snack: chomps, small apple

Lunch: I may walk to SweetGreens and get a chicken salad.

Snack: salmon jerky or chomps, small apple

Dinner: not sure since we will get home late

Exercise: not much, still resting my toe

Thinking of you and DW today. Praying for good news!

I don't eat the taco shells. We have a little taco truck here ran by a sweet family. They make tortillas from scratch when you order your tacos. I just have them hold the tortilla. I just get the shredded chicken with green sauce. Its my go to lunch! Each taco has 2 oz of meat.

I do eat the tortilla which is why I don't really eat tacos anymore lol

I hope everything goes well at the doctor, as well as your toe getting better soon :)

Please update us on what you find out-thinking of you both.

I don't eat the shells. I used to eat a few chips with salsa if we were out but haven't been doing that in awhile....the amount kept creeping up so I stopped (with fries too!).
