I know you didn't ask me but was reading the thread and thought I would throw this out there. I do not like lumpy cottage cheese (texture grosses me out) but found Nordica Smooth Cottage cheese at the grocery store, wondering if it, or it's equivalent, is in a store near you because I have been using it as a dip for some vegetables (cucumbers, peppers). I mix a packet of ranch dip mix in to the container and use it with my veggies since then I feel I'm getting in some protein in with that snack. Just one more way to get it in if you are looking for ideas...if you're eating veggies at this point anyway.

Thank you Stitch!! That is a great idea, I am not eating a ton of veggies yet (more just incidental ones) but I will again and I will try this!!

agreed on leftover entertaining food. to be honest, if i cant give it away to people when they leave, and its a known trigger food (im looking at you crackers)it goes in the garbage. I'll ask my husband what or how much of x he wants, but the rest is gonzo. Most friends and family get it now, and will happily accept to take it off my hands. but its not always easy...

I try to adhere to the same strategy but I find myself thinking that I should keep it for DH and then it starts singing to me at night.

Daisy- you are preaching to the choir to today.

QOTD: My weight is a struggle - like it was before, just in a smaller body! I still think about food all the time. I have to balance feelings of wanting to eat XXX to if I eat a tiny bit of xxx will it keep be from going off the rails? I also get super hungry from 6-10 at night so saving back calories for this time since eating later like this helps me not go crazy and eat all the things. I do get tired of weighing foods and worrying about what the gosh darn scale is going to say the next day. I also don't dump and will on occasion have a 'real' treat like a bite or two of cake, baby size ice cream etc.

This is day 2 of eating what is in the fridge, and more camaw.

Food for today:

coffee/ water/coffee/water- repeat

tuna-again

fish burger patty (dr otkers)

buddig ham or turkey or chicken

not sure on dinner- I have chicken, tuna, cod fish

going to gym after work - its leg day which I don't like lol

How do you break up your gym time and how many days a week do you do each part? Once I have my new space set up I want to start doing 3 days of weights.

I generally do- 3-5 days a week. I alternate muscle groups but do abs every time. sunday was arms, today legs and abs. I generally do 10-15 min elliptical or bike to warm up (I read not to stretch before lifting), then I left for 25-40 min, then stretch. sometimes after lifting I do another 10 min on a cardio machine.

Sometimes I take a class if I can make it fit instead. last week on thursday I did kickboxing and it was fun.

SO much YES Hillary! I am ravenous from 6pm to 11pm. I actually feel like I want to save all my food & calories for that time period. I am so not hungry during the day. But come 6 or 7pm watch out, I am like a shark circling my kitchen, what can I eat next... What suck but is really usual for me is if I go into the kitchen and I have perfectly good protein like baby bel cheese or meat & cheese roll up and if I don't want that but I want a slice of banana loaf or a few cookies I know its not real hunger, its the carb Monster talking so I slink back out of the kitchen and 99% of the time I make myself yet another decaf coffee. I feel ya girl.
