What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Just a quick drive by for now. Yesterday got away from me and I didn't get online until evening.
Yesterday was a busy day with runs to Trader Joe's, the thrift store (50% off everything!) and Kohls. Found some good deals at the thrift store but Kohls was a total disappointment. I usually buy my bras there and they had a huge sale. I went to the store instead of the website, to actually try some on and as I have found in other stores, they don't carry my size in the store...argh! 46F to 32 B/C...in both cases shopping for a good fitting bra is a pain!
After lunch I started in on cleaning the sunroom again. It had become a catch-all room in the 8 years we've lived here since we don't have a basement and it also has some dampness problems so there was alot of ickiness. I've been working on moving and purging things and now am down to the hard job of cleaning the cement tile floors. It is a 3 phase job -- mopping with cleaner, mopping with bleach and hands and knees scrubbing with Comet to get up the rust and other stains. It is mostly working but extremely hard work. I worked for more than 5 hours and ended up with a numb hand from scrubbing. Rest, Tylenol and more rest helped and I'll be back at it again today. I have the floor about 2/3 done, which is a great accomplishment, and I hope that maybe by the end of next weekend that I'll have my new gym space set up! That will be awesome!
Today is more cleaning, a haircut (long overdue) and hopefully a run to GNC for some snacks and protein drinks. DW is really out of sorts, scared and anxious about her second MRI tomorrow, so I am just trying to give her space and stay busy myself.
QOTD: I used to enjoy doing dinner parties but with our small house it is hard to throw anything big. Also it is hard to figure out a menu that fits everyone's needs when we have meat-centric, vegetarian-vegan, gluten-free, various food allergies and just plain PICKY in the family and friends. We just got an invitation to a house warming party for next weekend and in the invitation was a request for baked goods. I guess I will make several somethings, but they will be hard to resist on the other end. DW is the decorator really and does a great job. I'm just too low key for her tastes so stick to the kitchen while she hangs, cuts & pastes and creates the ambiance.
Menu: rather up in the air since I'm not sure what will be happening and how I will feel at mealtime.
I have hamburgers that I'd like to make and a pot roast for the week ahead, also 2 lovely steaks that need to be cooked, so it will definitely be a day of beef.
Exercise: LOTS of scrubbing...good for steps and upper body exercise. My fitbit registers it as swimming!

Your workout room sounds like its going to be amazing!!
Praying everything goes well tomorrow for you and DW.
Just a quick drive by as I've got to get ready for church soon. Didn't want to miss though as I wasn't on the last two days. Hubby's car took its dying breath last night and began dripping oil out the bottom so it's sitting in the driveway for now. Luckily the truck runs good and will be our means of transportatiin for awhile. The Equinox has been a piece of s##t since we got it and has had the motor rebuilt 2 times so it's not worth putting anymore into it. Now was not really a good time though. Despite that accountability was good. Post op 5 years 11 months and weight at 119.6 today. QOTD don't host or attend parties really. Lily and I have 4 miles done and will do another mile after supper. Heres the food B 1/2 steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c corn D 4 oz strip steak 1/2 c cauliflower S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day all and make some smart choices!
Quick aside, I want to be the kind of person one day who takes 4 mile walks with their dog every morning lol you've introduced a goal to me!

Do I remember that you are at home now for a few weeks? What does Lily think?

She didn't know what to think at first after having been gone for over 6 weeks. But she's settled down now. We leave again in about 21/2 weeks and head to Eva Tennessee to a church camp on the shore of Kentucky Lake. They have boats and fishing supplies we can use in our off time and their swimming pool is still open too.
I had kind of a crazy night last night. I found out that my brother, a neurologist in Ohio, had a stroke while at a Barnes and Noble with his fiancé, who is also a doctor. He seems to be doing ok, is fully aware and speaking, but had some paralysis on his left side. He is currently in the ICU at the hospital he works in, demanding to read his own chart and ordering his own tests. He will have some intense physical therapy, and should recover but it will take time and I'm not sure how much it will affect his career. He is only 32, and has had a pacemaker since childhood, but the stroke seems to not be related to his heart.
qotd: I like to plan parties! I like to host things in general. Weird, since I'm an introvert.
Breakfast: coffee and Premier, maybe a scrambled egg
lunch: deli turkey and cheese I think
dinner: enchiladas with zucchini roll ups instead of tortillas

Oh my 0.0 medical issues are never fun but when something so serious happens to someone so young it is really scary. I'm sorry to hear your family is having to deal with this and hope everything heals in such a way so as not to negatively affect anyone.
