sounds like you made the right decision. A poor-fitting job can affect your whole life. Been there.... I think you're right to wait

No job is worth being that sick over. Were you able to stay at your current job?

VENT WARNING

Gosh I am SO FRUSTRATED! I literally wanted to throw my scale out of the window this morning when I weighed. So I hit Onderland a week ago, right? and claw my way down to 198 over the next 5 days (usually it only takes me 2 or 3 days max to lose 2 pounds) and then day before yesterday I just UP to 199.8 what?? Yesterday I went down to 199.2 and today....nothing, no movement. I have lost no weight over the past week, I want to pull my hair out lol

I guess I've been lucky that I haven't hit a stall before this but cheese and rice is it frustrating.

rant over

Accountability: Nothing, I was super good yesterday, not that it helped

QOTD: I don't buy clothes right now lol I'm still at a really weird place

Haley, as a devoted everyday weigher I am going to tell you you need to ride the wave. Fluctuations are totally normal. The further out you get the up and downs will happen more frequently.

Some people use something called Trend weight and found it useful. You put your daily weight in and it shows the trend.

I found it helpful to write my weight down once a week- again that way you focus on the trend not just the day to day.

Listen I fall in the mental bunny hole myself... kinda in there now. Did s 5k Tuesday night and promptly gained 3 lbs the next day and it has stayed there. What?? Grrrr... So yeah, it is an easy hole to fall in.

Consistency is key... stay the course.

It happens! For the past 8 days my scale has wavered - I was down a pound, up a pound, down a pound, up a pound, steady for days, and finally back down a pound. All this despite calories never in excess of 630, very low carbs, lots of fluids, and consistent exercise. I think that from time to time our bodies simply need to hit the pause button to internally adjust to all of the changes happening. Though I haven't been good about doing this consistently, i know that measuring your body can also reveal losses in inches despite a balky scale. I weigh myself every single day and I keep a record of what that weight is, so I can look back and know where I was at any point, and can also see what role my intake may have played, since I also weigh and record what I eat on a daily basis.

Try not to feel too frustrated about these episodes. Just keep putting one disciplined foot in front of the other, and your weight will drop in short order! Sometimes we are rewarded by a week of accelerated loss after this type of episode. Stay steady and everything will work out!
