What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! I'm so glad it's the weekend. We are doing Street of Dreams tomorrow with my in-laws. Street of Dreams is put on by the Metro Omaha Builders Association. It's basically a block of newly built VERY EXPENSIVE homes that showcase the various contractors and home vendors (windows, decks, etc etc). And you get to walk through about a dozen houses. Last time we went I'm sure we seemed like country paupers, saying things like, "Look! They have a kitchen inside their kitchen! So the outer kitchen is the one that always looks perfect, and you do the messy stuff hidden away in the secret kitchen!" Or "this house has more storage cupboards in their laundry room than we have storage in our whole house. I think we could fit our whole house in this laundry room." And my favorite, "most of these houses have more bathrooms in them than they have other rooms." Seriously. We went to one that was a 5 bedroom house that had 9 different places to pee. Including an outdoor one off the patio, which was actually really awesome for outdoor dinner part entertaining.
qotd: I check the amazon daily deals every day and I recently got a 2 pack of 50 ft soaker hoses for TEN BUCKS. Watering my garden is so much faster now!!
Breakfast: I splurged and got a sugar free almond milk latte this morning. I'll check my macros this evening and see if I need to add a protein shake later.
Snack: Greek L&F
lunch: I ended up making pesto chicken with zucchini noodles last night and have leftovers for lunch. Approx 3 oz of chicken and maybe 1/4 C of zucchini
Snack: string cheese
dinner: I'm not sure if DH is home tonight. If not, I'll eat the rest of the chicken, if he is I'll figure out something else. Steak is on sale at my grocery store and we haven't had that in a while. I'll find out if he's home and maybe pick one up on my way home :)
pictures are two of my three cats. We got a new couch last weekend and Savannah, the tortie, took to it immediately and claimed a spot that is now HERS. My cat Stering (not pictured) is deeply offended that we got rid of the old couch because her spot was on the chaise lounge part of our couch and the new one doesn't have a lounge, so she's been sleeping dejectedly on the floor. Second pic is of my baby Sterling allowing me to admire her beauty--while I was trying to watch TV.
