Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!

Julia, sending some positive energy your way that things get easier at work!

QOTD: We played several pranks on each other at my first job. We had a big Summer Circus Sale and my friend, Larry, dressed up in his wife's pink tutu and tights and was a female acrobat! (very brave!) He had ridden his motorcycle to work and the other guys hid his real clothes so he was going to have to ride his motorcycle home in that outfit! I took pity on him and eventually showed him where they hid his clothes. Another time we sent him anonymous "love letters" to the store from a secret crush. He was flattered until we revealed in the letters that the writer was a gay guy. Then he freaked out and quit working there! I felt SO bad that we took our prank to such a level that he felt he needed to quit!

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 84, Calories - 1,390, Carbs - 204.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

L: spanish rice, watermelon, banana

D: Healthy Choice turkey mealS

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

E: walking dogs

Have a great day everyone!

~ Karen

Mornin' All -

well, I'm back home from Ohio. I'm back up above 150 (151.2, to be exact), but I'm not sure why since I only had one "bad" day - but I'm feeling a bit backed up, so maybe??? I'll wait and see what happens over the next day or two. It was a relaxing visit, even though it was hard since my friend has brain cancer. The people at her cancer center have not been very encouraging, so she's feeling very hopeless. Granted, it's definitely NOT a good type of cancer to have, but I've read that 30% of patients live beyond the two-year mark, and 10% beyond the five-year mar****pt telling her that she might be one of those - she's still young (at least for this type of cancer - it usually effects elderly people), and she's otherwise in good health - and they thought they got all of the tumor (they surgically removed it). So she might have a chance to be among those 10%. I suppose the cancer place is just trying to be realistic - 90% of people DON'T make it five years - but she needs hope. She needs to live for and push on for something. Although even with a glimmer of hope, I'm sure it's devastating. I can't IMAGINE getting that kind of diagnosis.

3 years 1 month out:

B: plain yogurt with blueberry sauce (my Turkish friend left me the yogurt - it's not Greek - boo. I may dump some SF pudding mix in it and have it around for desserts or snacks instead)

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein vanilla cantaloupe shake

L: probably cottage cheese

AS: crustless protein pumpkin pie with SF Cool Whip

D: ??? something safe!

ex: I was going to get up and go to Aqua Zumba this morning, but my alarm didn't go off (I'd set it incorrectly), and I slept like a baby. That 10-hour drive yesterday evidently wore me out. 8.5 hours of sleep - I *never* get that much!!)

scale is angry with me also.

I'm trying to balance going too low in calories (and causing binge episodes) versus eating high calories and weighing more but having a better relationship with food. its been hard.

Good afternoon,

Another busy morning, I has an appointment at the wls center for my binge eating and fourth year checkup, it's early my four years isn't until August 11. But I can't believe it's been that long. It went really good. I maintained my weight since last month so she was pleased. My b12 is high though so she she said to take every other day.

Checked out this new grocery store, really liked it. Got package of meat around $3.00 a package. Got boneless skinless chicken thighs, pork chops two packages and this Smokey bbq bacon meatloaf that you cook and a bunch of grapes, zucchini and corn on the cob. Then work.

Yesterday was bad day at work, I accidentally burned one of the babies foot with ho****er. I was getting water out of the microwave and the water splashed up and got his foot while I was holding him. Also it was my friends grandson. The mother wasn't upset with me but I sure was.

I ate rotisserie chicken and green beans for supper. Later on I had protein bar and popcorn.

Qotd at my first job at the nursing home we would turn on the call lights and hide under the bed and grabbed their ankles when they come in when they thought we left for the night or hide in closet or bathroom, do the call lights and jump out at them when they got close by.

B ham and cheese omelette, string cheese and pork and beans

L tuna, cottage cheese and baby carrots

D rotisserie chicken, green beans and grapes

Have a good day

Hang in there JB! I'm sure things will improve - theyd better! And for heaven's sake, girl, eat enough, frequently enough. You need your energy!

All is well here. Yesterday it finally cooled off and the island is back to perfection.: Gorgeous sunshine, tall fragrant trees, clean air, and sparkling blue, blue water.

My little Siamese Kai has been sick over the past week. I took her to the vet on Saturday. Her bloodwork came back clean and she wasn't dehydrated, but her behavior has been very off, she was sneezing, and her poor eyes were very weepy. It's her old nemesis, an upper respiratory virus, making one of its occasional reappearances. The vet said she would almost certainly shake it off and gave me eye drops for her. Kai hates getting them and I have to tuck her snugly into a bath towel to immobilize her sufficiently to administer them. But she has been better about not fighting me since yesterday - she realized that it she just complies its over in a few seconds - and her eyes are much improved. Just a few more days of the drops, and hopefully her other symptoms will also vanish.

QOTD: My brain doesn't work that way, but I love hearing about the pranks other people pull, so long as the pranks are just funny and not unkind.

First: I started with eight cups of tea this morning! Don't ask me why cause I don't know. I just felt like them! Of course I have spent half the day in the bathroom following that beginning!

B: Ham with smoked gouda

L: salmon with a little Greek yogurt on the side

D: turkey

Have a beauty of a day!
