What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Good morning!

It finally stopped raining! I was pretty happy about that for my ride.

Menu: Breakfast is not protein bars, as I'm out. So 1/2 cup ff greek with berries and some Vector for crunch. I have to rely on texture a lot (chemical burn did in my sense of smell 27 years ago, and it's all messed up IF it ever works at all) so the Vector helps without breaking the bank. Sometimes I wonder if my taste buds tell me the same message as everyone else. Does something taste the same to me as it would for you? I have my doubts, but I'm good with it.

MS/AS: Pure Protein shake

L: turkey, cheese and cucumbers sliced up. Was so good yesterday, I took it again today.

S: Unknown

Water, Water, coffee, water, water.....

QOTD: I used to mix up a bunch of iced tea before a gig, and put it in an empty Jack Daniels bottle for behind my drum set. There I was up on stage, slamming back this 40 of Jack over the course of the night, never missing a beat. It messed with a lot of people to see me chug it with no effect.

I used to deliver pizza at a busy shop, and one of the drivers had a little Chevy sprint. Remember those? They were little puddle jumpers, so they didn't weigh much. 6 of us picked up his car and moved it all over the parking lot for several weeks in a row. Sometimes we'd turn it sideways, sometimes in between a sign at the road, or behind curbs, behind the dumpster, etc. It was fun and he was a good sport.

Across the road, there was a grocery store with a garden centre full of wood and concrete yard things. Across from that (kitty corner from us) there was a crabby old lady that always yelled at the kids walking by. One night my friends and I "liberated" the bird baths and picnic tables etc. from the grocery store and filled her lawn. Another night, we rearranged her own 25 garden gnomes (who has that many gnomes?) so they were all staring at her house. A few might have been in various....."positions". I'm fairly certain she lost her mind in the morning. Secretly, I bet she liked the attention.

Thanks! It was really funny. Of course, I had to pee a lot so I drummed fast to get to the end of the set on occasion. :)

It certainly upped the creepy factor. We had a cop watching us, but he was laughing so hard he just told us to put it all back when we'd had our fun. We obliged by saying we were a church group that wanted to help her out.

My friends and I never did anything really "destructive" back then. Goofy, mischievious, good clean fun but never anything that would cost money to fix (theft, graffiti, etc.). We kept it silly.

Good Wednesday morning! JB, thinking 'bout ya, girl! Hang in there!

QOTD while not a funny practical joke, I did fool some women at a conference where I was the keynote speaker. I made sure to walk and greet as many as I could before time to speak so they could notice me and what i was wearing. My subject was that a lot of us have things going on that no one knows about. So i had on a typical suit, and started speaking. Then bit by bit I started taking off my suit. Well that got their attention, lol. Underneath that I had another set of clothes that were ripped, torn, held together with safety pins. That was the object lesson, if you will.

Yesterday cals 747, protein 84, carbs 11, fat 39. Today B 1st tea with half and half then a boiled egg. L tuna salad. D baked chicken. Snacks low fat cottage cheese.

Accountability: I ate some cheese crisps and protein bar last night.

morning everyone!

I may not be able to post much for the rest of this week and will be on vacation most of next week so I'll try to hop on with my phone but no promises!

I forced myself to do my workout last night even though my inner voice kept saying I was tired and I didnt want to...felt pretty good after but dang that voice is convincing and hard to ignore.

QOTD: When we were teenagers we woke up one morning and there was a moving sign in our front yard...we thought our parents decided to sell the house without telling us! LOL turns out a couple of our friends were walking late at night and thought it would be funny to take a sign from someone elses yard and put it in ours.
it evolved from there and a group of about 12 of our friends and us took turns stealing multiple signs and yard decorations from other peoples yards and places and putting them in each other's front yards. One time we put a tent-gazebo, several little ceramic swans/ducks, a bird bath, about 6 construction horses, 2 moving signs, & numerous parking cones along with some other random stuff...we took our parents' minivan through the neighborhood, someone would jump out and grab stuff and then we dropped it all in our friends' yard. I am pretty sure my parents still have one or 2 construction horses stashed in their garage somewhere LOL...the orange and white striped things kind of turned into a symbol of our youth from that point on.

B: lots of coffee & Premier
MS: greek L&F yogurt
L: leftover "jalapeno popper" chicken
AS: light string cheese
D: salmon w/dill sauce and brussels sprouts

have a fabulous day everyone!

Oh no, sorry to hear about a top 5 worst day; hopefully the week gets better from here -- if not, at least this is the half way point! Try to take care of yourself, it's hard in these cir****tances.

I am pretty low energy today; even slept until my alarm clock went off! That almost never happens! I am working from home due to 6 am, 7 am and 8 am conference calls so I will also take advantage of the time an read the book we'll be discussing at a two day staff meeting later this month (Start with Why); there were three books and we were each assigned one but received all 3 so after this one, I'll move onto Leaders Eat Last and then whatever the final one was. I have about 3 week stop read all 3 so shouldn't be an issue.

Bookclub tonight and pre-bookclub dinner at Panera.

QOTD - I am not creative enough for pranks! I wish i was though!

Accountability - i had an extra long meeting go over lunch so had an extra meat stick but then I was stuffed all day so ended up just doing a Protein 20 drink for dinner to meet my protein goals. Odd day.

B - Coffee + Premiere

S - homemade yogurt

L - 2 oz deli pastrami, 1 cheese square

D -1/2 of the spicy thai salad with chicken (half order)

529 calories, 66 protein, 24 carbs

Have a fantastic Wednesday!!
