What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
on 8/1/18 12:32 am
Good Morning! Well, I hope it will be good, anyway.
If I am being honest, I would say yesterday was in the top 5 hardest days I have ever had in my career. I refuse to let myself fall apart--too much to do. So I'm pulling up my Big Girl Knickers and heading back to face the music today. Please send good thoughts.
Happy August 1st, BTW. Can you believe how quickly the summer has flown by?
Accountability: I literally did not eat anything between the hours of 4am - 6:30pm and didn't even notice.
QOTD: I love that meme and I wish I was creative enough to think of fun harmless pranks like that! Have you ever played a good practical joke on anyone? I haven't, but my mom was an actual master of the prank, and April fools was really a big day for us! One year she pretended to lose all of our underwear at the Laundromat and we had to go to work/school commando! The lady was good.
You gotta eat girl!
I've pulled some great stunts in my working career. Fortunately we all survived but there are no tales to tell.
So this is what I ate today.
Iced coffee with milk.
Greek yogurt with honey plus all bran. I was out of plain. I prefer it. I add tons of splenda.
Peanut butter. On a spoon. On some crackers. On another spoon.
2/3 bag PF Chang honey chicken. Very sweet and blessedly soft chicken. I ate this 3 times. Lucy got the last bit.
Over 100 ounces of dilute splenda sweet tea
I ate no --sugar--. Amended..No cake.Day 2 of that.
Peanut butter on a spoon. The best way to eat it.

You know it's weird. I never liked PB much pre-WLS. The only time I would eat it would be a super small amount on a PB&J (heavy on J). But now I find it to be crave-worthy and a slippery slope.

JB hang on for the ride... In situations like this I always think of a roller coaster, you know you will get to the other end but there will be a lot of twists and turns along the way. And bring lots of snacks. You need to eat.
QOTD: OK your Mom wins. I am not good at pranks.

Wow, 8600, that seems like a very crowded 5K; is it a very wide beach?
