What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Wow JB! That's a lot to take on suddenly. I'm confident that you will rise to the occasion and you'll do a great job. Just keep breathing calmly...
We had a cookout here with friends last night which was very enjoyable and both prep and cleanup were pretty easy. I should do more of that...
I have bill paying, yoga, and lunch with our Alzheimer's Support group today. It may be another good weather day too. Right now I'm enjoying being on the deck with Justice but it is time to make more coffee and deal with the bills.

Mornin' All -
OMG JB - that sounds awful!! No wonder you've been so stressed out! I hope they're at least looking for a replacement (??) - although I know that can often take awhile! My heart goes out to you..
it's been a good couple of days. I'm still in Ohio - I'll be leaving tomorrow. I'm glad I came to be with my friend. Yesterday we met up with another high school friend for lunch - it was really great. Last night I was showing the friend I'm staying with familysearch.org, because she thought she might start dinking around with family history now that she'll be off work for another four months (for cancer treatments). We've already run into a previously unknown, head-scratching puzzle regarding her grandmother, so she's really motivated to try to solve it. Not sure what's on the agenda for today....
food has been OK. I feel a bit bloated, but I've had around 1700 kcal/day since arriving here (my maintenance range is 1500-1700). We've gone out a couple of times, though - so maybe sodium? Not sure. Curious to get home to see what my weight is. She has a scale here, but since it might weigh differently than mine, I'm probably better off waiting.
QOTD: I don'****ch TV - as in, I can't even remember the last time I turned the thing on - even when staying in hotels!!
3 years 1 month out:
B: plain Fage Greek yogurt, raspberries
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake
L: ??
AS: ??
D: probably leftover steak (2-3 oz) and 1/2 sweet potato
So glad you've been enjoying time with your friends, and you're probably right about the scale. They can easily weight 5 pounds different just between two of the same kind! Hope my home state has treated you well :)

Morning everyone!
My weekend was relaxing and enjoyable...Went to my first support group meeting since surgery on Saturday and it was a huge group...there were at least 30 people there so it went by super quick and it was a little impersonal but from what I gathered it was unusual to have that many people there so I'll try again next month and see how it goes. it was still nice to have a chance to talk to others in person about shared struggles.
after the meeting, I met up with my parents and Sister's family to mini golf with the kids. they had a great time even if they spend most of the time running around and rolling their golf balls by hand LOL...what do you expect from 2 and 3 year olds? hah.
Yesterday I met up with my sister and SIL and we had a fun auntie/cousins day at a little local Zoo where the kids could pet some of the animals (mostly farm animals) and they adored it. they got to feed the chickens and ducks and pet some sheep and goats. it was very cute.
On the way home Story was exhausted and begged me to bring her home and didn't want to leave the house again all afternoon LOL.
Morning: coffee w/half vanilla PP and SF blueberry syrup
B: greek L&F yogurt
L: leftover low carb/protein chicken fingers (made w/unflavored protein powder as the crust- they turned out really good!) w/homemade honey mustard dip
S: 6 Rainier Cherries
D: shrimp curry w/veggie noodles
A few pics from this weekend...
