What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

I adore Downton Abbey, and have watched the entire series several times. How I love that home and that family's way of life! It's my perfect escape viewing!

Best of luck to you this week, JB! I hope everything goes super smoothly today and through this upcoming school year!

QoTD: I have a long and growing wishlist of shows to marathon watch because I hardly ever turn on the TV these days. I say I am, plan for it even, then I get sidetracked! I've watched all previous seasons of OITNB, so it's on my list. Bummer this new season won't be as good as last. My favorite show I AM (always) caught up on is Game of Thrones.

Accountabilily: Pretty darned awesome! Visited my extended fam in Baltimore City this weekend, and they ordered pizza-- old school awesome pizza. ANd I passed and ate chef salad and only chef salad. I wasn't even tempted to peel some cheese and toppings off, which would have been within plan, if I did. But it was really good chef salad and it stuffed me!

And the scale is rewarding me! I think. We will see if it stays gone. I am bouncing all around lately, but it's finally on a slight, semi-noticeable downward trend! Woot!

I plan to make LindaSue's deep dish pizza sometime soon. Her low-carb recipes are to die for!

B: Egg loaf

L: Frozen Atkins meal

D: leftover low-carb meatloaf and cauli-turnip mash

S: clear premiere protein drink

You are a strong woman!! I don't have any trips to Chicago planned but I know when I go, If the fam orders falcos (best thin crust south side dive pizza) I will at least have to peel off some topings!! This is partly why I won't be visiting until next year, lol.

Great job with the pizza! Everyday is just trying to make good choices and you're rocking it!

I don't see your ticker though...

Good morning folks!

Wow JB, you really have your hands full! I believe that you are up for the challenge, but I know it will be hard and stressful! Keep those protein forward snacks handy, drink lots of fluids and remember to rest a bit when you can. You need to take care of yourself through it so you have the strength to do your best!

Most of my weekend was good. We ran errands, got some projects worked on, I got in another kickboxing class on Saturday and DW and I had a couples session with my therapist to proactively work on some stressers. I took an exercise break yesterday after a week of really hard workouts but late in the afternoon, I decided to run the sweeper quickly so the house looked a little better for the week ahead. I was in a bit of a hurry and knocked a shelf down, which landed squarely on my right big toe. It hit JUST RIGHT and it is definitely broken. I got it elevated and iced quickly so it isn't particularly swollen. I also have it splinted, which is helping with the pain, but it really hurts alot! I ended up taking a leftover oxy last night to sleep and now I am totally hung over. Fortunately, I am working from home today so I didn't have to commute and put on shoes. Depending on how I feel tomorrow, I plan to go into the office, but no exercise for me this week while it heals! Ugh!

QOTD: We've been streaming Shetland on Netflix. It is a BBC program about a detective on the Shetland Islands. Really good.

Menu: somewhat dependent on how I am feeling today

Breakfast: HB egg, ham

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake/iced coffee, chomps

Lunch: either leftover spinach-tomato omelet or TJ's chicken sausages

Snack: turkey breast, apple

Dinner: I am hoping for shrimp

No exercise!

I love Shetland. Can I also recommend DCI Banks, Scott & Bailey (both on Hulu and Amazon) and my all time favourite Line of Duty.
