Good morning! Yesterday was a bit crazier than anticipated but fun. I got my hair re-colored, then we went to a street fair. It wasn't anything spectacular but my favorite local bath-bomb maker was there so I have some new bath treats. We ended up sharing a bbq pork sandwich from a food truck (tossed the bun). Then we wandered into a new thrift shop. We found a beautiful gently used couch.
So, some backstory. When I first moved in with DH, we bought a new living room set to replace his old mustard-yellow floral couch (y'all know the one). Within a year, the couch was broken, partly because of shoddy workmanship and partly because our fat @$$es plopping on it, I'm sure. We repaired the old couch ourselves several times but it just never really was the same and until yesterday, you basically just sank to the floor in it.
We got a friend of mine to help us haul and move couches. He ended up coming with us to check out a Sears and Yonkers that are closing here. DH and I both got new shoes and underwear, and we got two sets of bedsheets all for under $80. And at Yonkers I got a new winter coat (a long length black pea-coat style) for $45, originally priced at $280! It's still a bit small but it will definitely fit by the time I will need it.
We let my friend pick dinner, to treat him for helping us, and he choose Hu Hot Mongolian Grill, But we were all tired and agreed to get it to go. I filled my bowl with meat and non-starchy veggies, and stuck to low-calorie sauces. I did FILL MY BOWL since it was a flat price, and knew I'd eat off it for several meals. I think I did ok!
ok. This post is getting long. Gym, laundry, and canning pickles again today (or maybe pickle relish).
breakfast: Premier and coffee

My stylist helped me pick this shade of purple when I told her I wanted something "kinda wild" for summer. I actually think it does compliment my natural coloring. In the fall I'll go back to a more natural hue ;)

The color definitely works with your beautiful green eyes!
