To get both your protein and liquids in try liquid proteins.. for one of those meals.
.I had a prescribed one to use for several weeks post op and i mixed 2 servings in 8 oz of hot cocoa mix, sugar free version. It enabled me to get both in until my edema went down( for me that was about 8 weeks- I had an invasive and involved surgery) warm liquids move down a little faster than cold, they promote gastric motility.. during the early phases of recovery can help significantly. I had a 45 cc pouch until the edema subsided.
There are a lot of choices out there now for those who have had WLS.. be sure to check the carb content on those and keep it low.
Hang in there and keep on your plan. take care of your new tool.

Try different temperatures of water of liquids. I knew in the beginning I didn?t have really any feeling at first. Then it started to make me feel uncomfortable.
I use a straw also. For some reason I can drink more that way.
It's a good thing to come and ask questions.
My surgeon was just a cutter and wasn?t helpful. It?s a business for some. I was lucky I had this website in their packet.
It it did and still does help coming and asking and supporting others.
Congrats! It does get easier :) just keep chugging along and trying new things to see what works for you.
