What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?

This dog knows what day it is! It's Photo Friday!

Yuck it has been a week of ridiculously high humidity and random thunderstorms. They think we even had a tornado touch down nearby! Crazy! I am ready to get out of this pattern and get some relief. The air is so thick that I feel like I can barely breathe this morning. Blergh.

Accountability: I am dealing with some really big stressors that I can't really talk about on the internet (maybe it will be public by Monday?). Luckily I have not had the urge to self-medicate with food...yet. But I worry about that a lot.

QOTD: How far do you live now, from where you grew up? I live about an hour and 15 minutes, but Massachusetts is pretty small and densely packed with different distinct regions, so where I live now with Grim feels like I moved to a whole new state than where I grew up. It's nice to still be only a little over an hour away from my family, though. Still close enough for an easy visit.

For today's Photo Friday, I decided to do a before and after of just a close up of my face because... jeez--I carried a lot of weight in those cheeks! #squirrelgirl

JB, love the picture of the dog! Whenever I am out walking I always love to observe and "greet" the happy dogs who are out! They express such joy! Also love your pictures. It is a reminder of how much even our face can change.

Last night was my first kickboxing class. Very LOUD (since my usual exercise is swimming laps or walking alone) but I really enjoyed it. I have alot to learn as far as improving my punches and kicks, but I kept up pretty well considering that I was definitely the oldest person in the room! I plan to go back on Tuesday if not for a class this weekend. Here is a picture of my purple gloves!

I am going to the gym to work with my trainer early today since he is headed to the beach. I hope that the night's sleep has helped me to recover enough to push through on the weights! I'm going to talk to him more about setting up a routine to do at home in between sessions.

QOTD: I live about 2-3 hours from where I spent most of my growing up. I am about 1 1/2 hr. from where my Mom lives now. DC is certainly a different paced life from the rural area I grew up in!

Menu:

B1: vanilla Premier Protein shake, coffee, 5 almonds

B2: ham, 1 eggo blueberry waffle

Lunch: 2 TJ's chicken sausages, grape tomatoes

Dinner: not sure but I'd love to have steamed shrimp

Exercise: hour at the gym, maybe I'll get in some pool time too!

Gotta keep working different muscles and keep it interesting! Getting ready to start a plank challenge. Did you do anything special or just commit to doing planks each day?

I wonder if that would have helped me not hurt my back?
