Good morning! Today is going to be a great day. My husband is home! I slept so well last night.
It's going to be hot today again, near 100. I am thankful we don't have humidity here in the PNW.
I didn't eat much yesterday. It was hot and I just didn't feel like it.
QOTD- I usually listen to the radio.
Food for today-
B- 1 egg, 3 oz black forest ham, 1 oz light mozzarella
L- 4 oz shredded chicken breast with tomatillo salsa
D-halibut on the grill with lemon and capers, maybe some zucchini
Lots of water, Vitamins always
Morning peeps!
I did NOT have an evening snack last night but was still a little high on calories, I think because all of my meals yesterday contained cheese. LOL...so today, less cheese. per MFP I'll be under 800 as long as I don't add any extra's.
QOTD: I always listen to audiobooks when I am driving by myself anywhere that takes more than 15 minutes.
If I am in a car with people Usually it's music--I prefer 80's and 90'****s or classic rock...but I am not super picky. I'll usually let the passenger play with the radio.
When it's just me and Story we usually don't have anything playing (unless she's asleep) because she doesn't ever stop talking LOL.
Morning: coffee w/Vanilla PP and sugar free blueberry flavor syrup
B: greek L&F yogurt
L: leftover turkey taco meat w/some lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes, sprinkle of cheese and Tbsp of sour cream
S: turkey meat sticks
D: thai peanut pork stir fry (no rice)
have a fantastic day everyone!

Good morning, good morning! Happy Wednesday -- some wednesday I'm going to surprise you all with my camel with a coke video; it makes me laugh...then there's the yelling whiny camel which is kind of how I feel today! At least we are at the halfway point of the week -- and at the last day of our 115 stretch here on the surface of the sun! The week's going to improve!
Yesterday was a struggle -- stressful couple days at work and as I was driving home, I was thinking to myself about how last year I would have walked in a poured some wine, made a pizza with extra toppings (to offset the bad day) and then eaten about half of it, then decided that was too much and only eaten the toppings off the other half...and I would have felt so much better about the day....until I didn't feel better about the meal I did not do any of those things last night but it took a bit to get out of my head; I finally broke the chain by taking the time to write a letter to my friend that had the gallery show over the weekend to tell her how great it was. Focusing on someone else and something positive really helped!
Accountability -- I made it to 87oz water so my focus improved that, today I'll cross 100. I did have an unplanned ounce of fair life in my decaf last night but I was still under 600 cal/under 20 carb so I'm ok with it.
QOTD - I listen to audiobooks or podcasts these days; if I'm in car that won't connect to my phone, I'll make phone calls or listen to NPR. I don't do car silence very well at all.
Exercise - I will be treadmilling it today
B - coffee + premiere
S - 1 oz gouda
L - Dannon Light & Fit
D - 2 parmesan crisps with 1 cheddar square and 2 oz deli pastrami
100 oz fluid!
529 calories, 15 carbs, 68 protein
Have a wonderful wednesday!

I remember being about a month or so post-op, and had a HELLACIOUS day. I got home, and similar to you, back in the day I would have ordered a medium pizza and some cheesy bread or cooked up a BOX of noodles...but on this day, I heated up a chicken sausage in the toaster oven and was uncomfortably full after about 1/2! I remember thinking, Oh god, I am going to have to figure out how to deal with my feelings now that I can't eat my feelings! I do find that working out in the evenings can help me steer clear of crappy food, but it only gets harder as time goes by, so it's great that you are finding coping mechanisms now!

It's funny, when I made my cheddar-sausage dinner; I made a point of going back to the mindful eating thing that I HAD to do in my pre-op...sit quietly at the table, no distractions, think about my emotions, timing my breaks between bites. That was probably my least favorite piece of pre-op and it actually helped last night, lol.

That's so well done, and such good advice. Clearly I ate my emotions down off the edge many times, in fact you guys were babes and innocents in comparison to me - I could (and did) order not one but two medium pizza with toppings, plus two boxes of chicken things (don't know what they were called - super caloric though!). And sometimes I'd even top all that with dessert for two! And I'd eat it all at one go! Shaking my head at that now and thinking, wow, I need therapy!

We are better today than then and we'll be even better tomorrow!
