Same here on the mushrooms. I wanted to love the portabella mushroom pizza thing...even trying to clean the mushroom made me almost gag forget when I tried to eat it. I'll pass..thanks!

Morning Menu friends! Happy Tuesday!

It's been warm up here too, but not as miserable as the rest of the country, thank goodness! Today will be cooler, the high is predicted to be a perfect 75 degrees. Lovely!

Yesterday evening I went for a long walk around the lake and doubled it by detouring off to walk around the island in the middle, then continuing my walk around the whole lake. I love that I can walk and completely enjoy it! When I was morbidly obese, I was in too much pain and too easily winded to even attempt such a walk! I need to get some good supportive bouncy shoes though, my flats aren't good for long walks and my sneakers aren't much good either.

I have watched and enjoyed Mean Girls a few times!

QOTD: I've never been much of a fan of peanut butter, or jelly, or most bread, for that matter.

First: Tea tea tea! What would I do without it? I drink so much I could float away!

B: salmon

L: filet mignon

D: salmon

The salmon is so good, but at the same time not that easy to digest. This works for me, as I really have to stop eating it the moment I get the signal that I've had enough, or I don't feel too well. But as long as I just have right around 2.3 ounces, eaten slowly, I'm golden! High in protein, low in calories, wild-caught: perfect!

I wish all of you a moment of absolute hilarity today! We all need to laugh!

Ok how could you be morbidly obese and not like bread?

I am sure at least 100lbs of the 200+ I was wearing was from bread.

Me too! I said the same thing to Catwoman above, who doesn't;t like doughnuts. WTH? No bread? No doughnuts? I could weigh less than 80lbs without that stuff.

I liked bread once in a while, but it wasn't something I craved and I rarely had it in the house. Believe me, I made up for it - and then some! - with many other things!

Bread is my weakness, I have a bread maker and pre-op I could make a loaf of bread and eat half of it in a day. And fini**** in about 3 days. I still have a small piece of french bread occasionally.

I used to bake bread way back in college when I was also a vegetarian. I had a copy of the Tassajara Bread Book that I loved and I made about every bread recipe in there! But I never loved eating bread as much as other things, and gradually i just pretty much stopped eating bread altogether, except for once in a while. I made up for it with things like excessive, disgusting quantities of ice cream!

QOTD: Well fresh Basil doesn't like me but that's not my choice. :/ That stuff sneaks up on you.

The thing that came to mind was sushi. Not that I haven't eaten it, but it would never be my choice.

B: overnight oats, latte

B2: Eggs, bacon maybe cheese

L: salad w/grilled chicken

D: Steak w/mushrooms and onions

S: Greek yogurt, protein powder

ex: yoga class- Done!
