Kelly, I remember that you get up early and go to the gym before work. Do you do your runs on the treadmill or do you brave the heat and run outside? Just curious. Also when you posted a picture of your new gym room, I noticed what I thought was a boxing setup (can't remember the actual name). Do you or DH do kickboxing?

Sorry, but you officially have to turn in your formerly fat-girl card.
How did you even get MO without doughnuts?? Impossible.
LOL! I was never a big sweet person. Oddly, I crave them more now than I ever did when I was SMO. So how did I get there? Mostly eating c. 3000 calories a day (if not more). 600-calorie breakfast smoothies, nuts, cheese, crunchy/salty snack foods, going out to eat several times a week, polishing off portions in one sitting that could have served 2-3 people.....
Doughnuts were definitely a biggie for me which is why they aren't allowed in my house now. I would buy a dozen and hide them in the closet so I could eat them all. Eating until I felt sick sometimes... God, I do NOT miss those days!

G'morning all!
Post and run! I miss you guys!
Last week a very good friend of mine was in a head on collision. It was really scary especially bcz her DD was in the car with her. Our daughters are good friends. The other driver was under the influence (no idea if alcohol or drugs) at 11:00 am!!! When I got the call from her husband that they were at the hospital my heart sank. Thank God they are both relatively OK. Broken legs and arms and a dislocated femur but OK in general. What broke my heart was my friend telling me when it happened her life didn't flash in front of her yes, but she felt an intense sadness and tried to look at her daughter but all she could hear was her daughter screaming "mommy"!! I was at the hospital to be a moral support but when she told me that I lost it. Good thing I didn't know where the other driver was, I was so MAD!!! Anyway I've been staying at the hospital on and off, almost like shifts with her DH and other friends. I'm the one who works from home so I have more flexibility along with another friend who is a teacher and has the summer off. So we try to keep them company and just be there for them. This could have ended up really bad. The car is completely destroyed in the front and it was a miracle that neither of them died.
To make a long story short that's why I've been MIA and might not post every day. I've been surviving on protein bars. One good thing I did for me is I did the 10K race I had signed up for, last Sun. Literally went to the race, ran it, and then went back to the hospital! But it helped ME! It was good for me, because it's so sad at the hospital seeing all the patients. I keep being grateful that my friend and her DD are relatively OK and will be going home. Banged up and everything but going home.
Be safe everybody!
