Lately I have been freezing my Greek yogurt (with my SF syrup). I only put it in the freezer for about an hour and a half...just where it's a little "icy".

I'm okay with greek yogurt - that sounds good! I may have to give that a try.

The SF syrup I am currently using for it is Caramel cheesecake so I mix that in pop in the freezer and then when I take it out, stir in a little fiber cereal and pretend it's dessert.

YUM! Thanks for the idea - I was only thinking of fruit flavors for some reason but the caramel sounds wonderful!

Mornin'!

Hey JB - swimming is great exercise! So swim around in your building as much as you can today!! :-)

I blew it yesterday, too. A pint of Halo Top around 10:00 pm. It's not that I've never snacked at night, but a pint of Halo Top? This is a first.. Luckily, my weight was the same this morning (and I'm on the lower end of my range), but I CAN'T do this again or I'm going to be up at the 150 mark again!!

I'm glad the kitchen designer came to my house last night to see my kitchen in person, because he told me which one of the three Corian samples that I'd been considering he thought would look best - and we did talk about quartz again, so I'll pick up a couple of samples of that later this week. He said I could probably wait awhile to do this, even given the leaky faucet (we have a bucket in the cabinet under the sink to catch the water). Good. Between my upcoming plastic surgery and the screened porch we're planning to have built this fall, that's going to wipe out my cushion. If the kitchen can hold off 'til spring, that would be ideal (and he said we could go ahead and get the faucet replaced now if we want - it's just that they'd have to take it off and reinstall it when they do the new counters/sink. But if it's not causing any problems, might as well wait and have it all done at once..)

new crap I have to deal with regarding my revocable trust and the organization I chair has come up that I wasn't expecting. ACK. I was hoping to have most of this behind me before leaving on my trip, but N-O-O. So another couple of busy days in store. Ugh. When am I going to finally feel like I'm retired?? Thank God I'm not working, or I'd be putting in 16-hour days between work and all this other stuff I need to get done.

today I'm meeting a friend for lunch. I'll probably get together with another friend, the one from Turkey, this evening, but I haven't heard from her yet today. I'm taking her back to O'Hare (Chicago) on Thursday, so hopefully we'll be able to maximize our time over the next couple of days.

QOTD: I don't like blue cheese unless it's very mild AND is just an ingredient in something - like a sauce. Never by itself, and never anything strong. I also don't like lamb - too gamey. I'm fairly adventurous with food, but not when it comes to meats. I'll just do chicken, turkey, fish, pork, some seafood, and beef. And I absolutely HATE watercress (not that this is a universally-loved food - or even a common food - but the thought of it makes me shiver). I'm REALLY sensitive to bitter tastes - and watercress is really bitter. Occasionally even cabbage is too bitter for me.

UPDATE: reading through your posts made me think of other things I hate - and these are more commonly-known and loved things: pancakes, waffles, French toast, donuts. And meatloaf - GAG!

3 years 1 month out:

B: TJ's coconut Greek yogurt and 1/2 mango

MS: L&F yogurt, coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake

L: meeting a friend at a Thai place. One of their curried chicken dishes is served over lettuce, so I'll get that.

AS: if needed, L&F yogurt or a piece of protein pumpkin pie

D: I might make a pizza to use up some ingredients before I go on my trip. Either one piece or just the toppings off of two.

I agree about the lamb - way too gamey. Thanksgiving turkey gets that way too, after a day or two post-holiday.

Our company left a day early due to lack of sleep (mal-functioning cpap). So we went to the beach! Super windy so it is not hot here (it is stifling outside at the house).

QOTD: Chocolate and peanut butter (like Reece's cups). I just never liked it. Or coffee flavored things. Though I haven't tried either since WLS so maybe I would now (but I'm not going to check).

Accountability: DS (chef) cooked for a bunch of us last night. Lots of fish which was okay but then there was the Parmesan/red pepper/plum risotto...

2 Years, 4 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 20 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: leftover scallop ceviche

D: Leftover something...

S: yogurt
