Good morning everyone! Thank you for the good wishes for my interview yesterday. It went amazing. I feel really good about it. I will know later next week if I got the position or not. I am overwhelmed and excited. It would be stepping out of my comfort zone and a total leap of faith. Of course, I was awake half the night laying in bed making a list of the pros and cons. I think I will accept the position if I am offered it.

QOTD- I grew up with druggie parents. The first time I went to the dentist, I was in the 4 th grade. I actually have very nice teeth despite that. In school, they had a fluoride program and every week, we would swish and spit. I truly believe that is what saved my teeth. I had braces in my 20's. I am one of those odd people that love going to the dentist. I would have my teeth cleaned once a month if I could! lol

I am headed to town grocery shopping with my daughter this morning. Always a good time and lots of laughs. I always meet the nicest people when I am out and about.

Black coffee with Miralax ( beverage of champions)

B- Crack an egg cup. ( I really like these! They are easy and simple, very tasty.

L-cottage cheese and tuna, lots of dill pickle and onion

S- chomps or light and fit greek yogurt if needed

D- My son wants me to smoke him a tri-tip. So either that or fish. I have really been craving grilled halibut with lemon and capers.

Lots of water and vitamins always.

Have a great day everyone. Be kind! Do something nice for someone.

Good morning menu friends! Just getting time to post. Lily and I got 4.5 miles in and will do another after supper. I've already got one load of laundry and a second one in the washer and have cleaned the storm shelter where the washer and dryer are as a help to the agency here. Accountability was good with 12.034 steps and no extra bites. Post op 5 years 10.75 months and weight at 119.6. QOTD I've had bad teeth my whole life. I may have to look into the oral breeze Cynthia mentioned as I have gum disease and I have a waterpik but never rememberto do it. Heres the food B 1 egg scrsmbled with 1 T grated cheese on 1/2 bun L 4 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c lettuce mix with dressing on the side D 4 oz brat patty with 1/2 c green beans. Have a great day all and make smart choices. Time for coffee!

Yep ... got em all . White, straight Chicklet like the detractors call em . Gums are healthy pink and not receding ...

I used to manage a world- renowned dental office in Rockefeller Center Manhattan whose head dentist pioneered the bone-grow- Thru technology that made implants possible. Here?s what I learned - then and since .

1) the WORST thing you can ever do is allow teeth to be pulled out . If you absolutely must insert an implant in the spot ASAP

2) dentures never fit right because the jawbone changes ( not the case with implants )

3) if you can?t afford implants in the US try Hungary . Or Mexico if you?re afraid to travel that far ( but Hungarian dentistry is the highest quality and patients from not only the EU America and Britain but Asia and the Middle East also travel there )

4) implants ( or saving your natural teeth an even better course) help you chew food better make healthier food choices and get more lifesaving vitamins and enzymes out of your food . People with dentures ? bridges? and missing teeth live many less years ( check it out)

5 ) I really like periodontax - a gum disease fighting toothpaste recently readily made available , flossing after every meal and electronic ( soft ) brushing after eating or at least twice a day . Waterpic machines are good too .

Invest the time and money to take of your mouth and expect a much longer and happier life (((()))) ?

Brunch - shrimp skewers from Aldis ( chili lime and garlic black pepper ) great low-fat a great value but very spicy

mofongo ( yucca root cooked in chicken stock )

this is a fat free delicious complex carb very underused in American recipes . Yucca can be used almost every way a potato can and more but it?s less glycemic-index promoting and is more delicious and filling for the same amount of calories . Try it in a stew or mashed :) total deliciousness :)

going out to buy fat free cottage cheese ( a staple ) fat free American cheese and fat free mozzarella and cheddar ( more staples ) fat free ricotta cheese if I can find it butter buds fat free milk powder boxes ( another staple ) tabouleh mix ( so great made with orange juice and garden grown vine ripened Tomatoes , ginger, green onions and fresh peeled garlic . And butter buds if I can find em :) with these staples I can live a very rich - tasting fat free semi vegetarian menu that gives me great energy , strong straight bones and teeth through natural calcium sources and totally normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels despite being a lazy beast !:)

Defrosted half a package of phyllo dough which made with butter flavored spray oil breadcrumbs or ground pecans and butter buds sprinkles tastes EXACTLY like full fat strudel but it's NOT !!! Fillings are fresh farm grown organic cherries morello cherries apricots and farm grown plums . Yum yum yum ... and no sugar needed or ever used:)

Mornin' All!

I had a not-so-good reaction to the shingles vaccine I got on Thursday (when I was at the doctor's for my surgical clearance exam). I stayed in bed a chunk of the day yesterday - and I still have an egg-sized lump on my upper arm, and it's all red. Ugh. I've gotten this kind of reaction from tetanus shots, too, which is why I always dreaded them. It's never the shot itself - it's the after effects. I have to do shot 2 of the shingles series in late September. Hopefully it'll be easier.... But at least I won't get shingles (or I'll have a 97% chance of not getting it). I've had it before - don't care to go through that again.

so this morning I'm at the yoga studio. Just got done with a class and now waiting for a friend - we're having coffee in the studio's cafe. After that...?? I have no idea what's up. I hope I'll get to do a lot with my friend from Turkey since she's leaving on Thursday :-(

QOTD: I've always had great teeth. I think I've only had four or so cavities in my life, and the first one wasn't until I was in my 20s. Never had root canals, crowns, or any of that. I have all four of my wisdom teeth. And they're very straight - never had braces. I've gotten compliments from dentists on them. BUT....I have periodontal disease. It's mild, but I have it. My hygienist said most people seem to have one or the other - either problem teeth or problem gums. I got stuck with the problem gums....

3 years 1 month out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1/2 mango

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein chocolate latte shake

L: ??

D: ??

ex: yoga

Hey everyone. Busy morning so far for me- I did my run and some yard work right after-already crucified my calorie burn goal for the day. Dropped a gift in the mail for my sister too. I'm heading to BJ's after piano them will do SQUAT for the remainder of the day. I think the new season or Orange is the New Black is available.

Qotd: I have pretty good teeth, cavities are rare- never had a root canal or needed an extraction for anything other than wisdom teeth. People say my teeth are freakishly white- I think not drinking coffee has a lot to do with it. I rarely ever floss though-- drives every dentist I know mad.

215 today (210 post-run.... I'm always fascinated by what I lose in sweat!), 3.2 years out

m1: egg, 5 turkey sausage links and cheese stick

m2: protein bar

m3: ??

M4: chicken parm meatballs

I know what I'll be doing later, love Orange is the New Black. I'll try not to binge it all in one weekend.

Yesterday was way too many calories 1207 but I hit my 75g of protein. Started the day off right did a 2 mile walk, I've been neglecting my cardio as in not doing any. I also got my new swimsuit yesterday so I'd like to go swim some laps this weekend.

QOTD: My teeth are OK, my bottom teeth in the front crowd each other and I always get excessive plaque no matter what I do. I had 3 wisdom teeth out and 1 root canal I would pass on all of them if I could. I have multiple crowns and old fillings. But everything has been stable for a while.

I will work on my accountability today.

Everyone have a great day!
