What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Friday, everyone! I'm so happy to have made it. I was going to take a mental health day and stay at home, but I'm getting a new desk over the weekend so i need to pack everything back up. I just figured out where I'd put everything from the move, and now I'm going to be messed up again. Yay!!! So, I may pack and bail early.
JBQOTD: Typically never enough. I really have zero time during the week to run the basic errands needed for every day living, so that takes up a majority of my weekend. This weekend is stressing me out already. Tomorrow is the Pasadena Philharmonic which means I have to get things done early tomorrow so I can go and be on Pea**** watch . . . and drink wine and eat shrimp. Sunday a group from the spin studio I go to is going to one of the wineries out in Malibu. That will work great because my mom asked me to go with her to visit her sister who happens to live in Malibu, so that's kinda a two birds, one stone thing. But it means I have no time on Sunday for errands. So I guess what I'm saying is when I spend most of my weekend on relaxation it stresses me out because I feel like I'm not getting things "done."
My plan:
B: Bacon
L: I have leftover chicken from Pollo Loco, but I may see if someone wants to take a walk with me and get something else to eat.
D: It's Friday, so ???????
S: Latte. I went running at 6:30 this morning and I'm tired. Need some caffeine. And let's admit it. I'm addicted.

The Arboretum in Arcadia? I loved that place, blood-curdling pea**** cries and all! Once I was walking there with my baby when I wandered off trail and into a thicket of tall flowering bushes. When I emerged, I found myself front and center in a commercial being filmed. They had to re-shoot and were none too pleased to see me! Have a fabulous time!
Forgive me for I have sinned. DH had an appointment with the NP at the cardiologist's office at 7:30 this morning. His BP is so out of control. It's extremely high except when he stands up, it drops about 50 points. The NP took his BP sitting, standing and lying down. She is going to talk with the cardiologist and get back with him today. We went to a restaurant called Big Biscuit. You can guess what they're known for. I did break down and have a half a biscuit with gravy and potatoes so I've had my carbs for the next month. It was very good and I will eat properly the rest of the day.
QOTD: Now that I'm retired, my weekends are pretty much reading and quilting. I do grocery shopping during the week.
Menu:
1/2 biscuit; gravy; potatoes
Click shake
Protein bar
Something I pick up at the grocery store; salad

JB, the photo of you in that absolutely lovely dress is perfection! You really are so very pretty!
Today I have to finish up and then make it into town to ship orders. Plus I need some lavender hydrosol so will go to the local farmer's market, where one of the beautiful island lavender farms has a booth.
I just bought myself a sewing machine! I've never bought one before, but am excited to use it.
QOTD: I work for myself, and my schedule varies somewhat every day. I usually do some work including on the weekends, and also try to inject some play every single day!
First: coffee today! I don't have coffee more often than 2-3 times a month, so when I do it's a real treat! Delish!
B: filet mignon with a little Greek yogurt mixed with a dab of A-1 steak sauce and some dried chives
L: tuna and smoked gouda
D: sauteed cod with a little butter, lemon, thyme, and dill
Have a great Friday, my friends!
Hi everyone,
Happy 3rd surgiversary JB!
QOTD: As much as I would like to have the weekends to myself and my wife it doesn't usually end up that way. Being on call 24/7 doesn't allow for that. On rare occasion I get a quiet weekend. I need to work at least 1/2 day tomorrow.
Accountability: On plan.
B: 2eggs, turkey breakfast sausage
L: 3oz turkey breast
D: ?? but it will be protein and broccoli rabe
S: Ostrim meat stick
Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!
