What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 7/17/18 1:50 am
Good morning! Thanks for all of your well wishes for me with my new team yesterday. It was a pretty good day. Tiring, but good. The next two days I am back at the central office for MORE trainings. Oy.
Accountability: Despite the meme saying otherwise, I actually managed to completely avoid the copious amounts of First Day Back to Work candy that was floating around. However, I also left my lunch bag on the table again (I know!). I rummaged through my desk and found cheese crisps and pork rinds and that held me over until dinner. See--being a food hoarder pays off sometimes ;)
QOTD: How do you wear your hair? I have a shoulder length bob and I just got a Kerritin treatment (oh yeah--that was another expensive thing I bought last weekend, lol.) and I hope that helps it stay a little more manageable. I like how it looks when it's straight, but it it naturally wavy and frizzy and it usually takes a lot to keep it down. Today is my first day styling it straight on my own and I like it so far!
Glad your day went well, hope the rest of the week goes just as well!
Today I am going shopping with my mom. We do this every summer. She is getting older and doesn't like to drive too far from home so I pick her up and off we go to wherever she wants to go. It sounds weird but, I pick her up in NJ to take her shopping in DE and I will be back home in MD by 3 because she gets tired easy. Last year we went shopping three Tuesdays in a row! I love doing this with her.
QOTD: My hair is shoulder length. I wear it in different ways; straight, beach wavy, braided, half up. I only was 2-3 times a week so I have mastered the art of dry shampoo. I started that at month 3 when my hair was falling out but now it is starting to grow back in nicely. Most of the time in the summer it is in a pony or braid and when I am totally lazy (or not going anywhere) I throw a ball cap on my head!
B: Premier chocolate shake
L: TBD
D: chicken thigh, fresh green beans, and yellow summer squash
Edit to Add a picture of my hair - LOL
Have a great day!

Good morning all! Another hot and humid day on tap for us, then the rest of the week is supposed to be cooler. Not sure if I will get out to walk today or just walk indoors.
Yesterday was a busy day with an hour with the personal trainer and then an appointment with the PS. The gym time was great and challenging but not overwhelming. I am enjoying the challenge of seeing what my body can do and then pushing myself. The PS is very pleased with my progress and I don't have to see him again for 3 months. I'm still having swelling in my lower belly but he says that it will be months before that is all gone.

Good morning! Another round of canning--I did 3 pints and 6 half-pints of sweet pickles last night.
qotd: I have a shoulder-length layered cut, which was suggested by my stylist to help give my thinning hair some texture. I'm not sure if it helps! I currently have it brunette on top and it "melts" into a purple ombré. I wa**** as little as possible because I don't want the purple to fade too fast so I tend to style it in a cycle: after washing, I'll blow dry it and wear it down (straight), the next day I'll curl it into beachy waves, and sometimes with a bit of dry shampoo that works for day 3 also. Day 4 I twist my bangs back and wear it in a pony. Then I wash again and repeat. I washed this morning and I think I noticed less hair coming out so fingers crossed that I won't go completely bald!!
