Good morning menu friends! I overslept this am as my alarm didn't go off but Lily and I got up and did 2.19 miles--all we had time for. We'll try our best to get another 3 tonight if possible. Its already hot and humid here. Today we get a tour of the facility where we're working and do some training and then get to work. Absolutely no idea what I'll be doing. QOTD no but hubby does. Heres food B1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli turkey and cheese 3 baby carrots D4 oz mushroom swiss burger sm salad with italian dressing on the side S string cheese and slice of turkey. Have a great day all and make your best choices. Off to make coffee!

Good morning! I'm resurrecting my old account because I could use more accountability and support.

I made ceviche this weekend the (beachbody version/recipe) and it is such a good summer meal!

This AM, I ate my Sunday night meal prep experiment-- copycat "Sous Vide" egg bites in the instant pot. They look and taste nothing like Starbucks, in a bad way. I'll try again soon. This time, I'll blend it well and not freeze them. Hoping my husband will find and eat the rest so I won't have to see this batch again =)

i have palak paneer (spinach and cheese in spicy sauce) for lunch.

Pork chops with some mozzerella/avocado/cucumber/basil/balsamic/spinachon the side.

i bought bulletproof lemon bars and might try half of one for a snack if I am hungry enough.

Good morning menu friends! Happy Monday -- I have a very short week (just today and tomorrow) but it still feels more like a Monday than a Thursday!

JB, it sure sounds like you took on an interesting challenge with this new job! Make them all read 5 Dysfunctions of a Team, perhaps?

QOTD -- well, it's not hoarding if it's books, right? If that's not right, then definitely I hoard books. Physical books, kindle books, audible books, I want all the books!

Menu:

L - Dannon Light and fit

D - 3 oz mozzarella, 1 oz salami510 calories, 63 protein, 14 carbs

Good morning! The weekend was pretty good, all things considered. I got up early Saturday morning and put the tools in my buddy's trailer, drove to someone's place to dig out some clothes-line posts. I'm pretty sure they were anchored at the earth's core. In the process, a tree branch, 6' long, 4" diameter, oak (and all the oak-like properties that come with solid hardwood) came down on my shoulder. It missed my head, missed my collarbone and hit hard on the muscle. I think it hit a nerve too, as I could feel it in my head, neck, and down the rib cage. We got that post out but the 2nd one just wouldn't come up. Once it was out, we could see it was gas pipe, 4" diameter, 1/4" wall thickness, 12' long with a 2" gas pipe t-bar. It weighs about 2 billion pounds. I see now why it was free. I laid down because my shoulder was just killing me, and I fell asleep for 2 hours. I weighed myself in the a.m. before I left, and then after all of that I dropped almost 5 lbs in sweat, and that's with me hydrating all day. Sunday I drummed at church and it was awfully awkward movements, but nobody noticed. THis morning I hit the gym and the shoulder is bruised but I have full range of motion, and most of the swelling is down. It's on the mend.

Menu is on point today. Thankful for coffee. :)

QOTD: i tend to hoard stuff in my shop. Screws, nails, bolts, washers, drill bits and driver bits, pieces of cloth, sandpaper, hand tools.....I don't know why. I have probably 300 screwdrivers. Only 2 hands. It's so weird. I have all of these car repair tools and ramps and things, but a car that is warranteed for at least 4 more years.

Thanks! Yes, I'm taking it easy this week. grass cutting only. Heading out on vacation next week and I don't want anything to interfere with that. It's a vacation where I'm actually relaxing (not helping anybody move, building a deck, working a field, etc.). Just fishing and swimming, bonfires and family.

Wow - as painful as it sounds, much better to have it hit your shoulder than your head! Hope the healing continues quickly!
